To the northwest of the church is a town. Be sure to meet the man in the pipe
near the entrance. There are several stores here, including one that sells
Materia. Just to the south of the weapon shop is a two story house. Enter it
and go upstairs. On the wall to the left, you will see a flyer. Make sure to
read it. It is one of six flyers scattered around the world. In the desk you
will find a hidden drawer with 5 gil inside. To the far, far right is a path
that leads to Aeris' house and a garden. You can spend the night here once
you've met Elmyra, Aeris' mother. In the lower flower bed to the right, you
can get a Cover materia and an Ether. There's another Save Point near her house
if you need to use it. The next morning, look between the desk and the bed for
a Potion and a Phoenix Down. Then, sneak downstairs (or Aeris will make you go
back to bed) and leave the house (you can do this by not touching the walls
and not running, either). Then leave the town and head southwest to Sector 6.
