Youth for Change Home Page

Recently a new social action group was created by students and staff of Mistassiniy School in Wabasca, Alberta, Canada. The group "Youth for Change" has been set up to address world issues and apply solutions to the local community of Wabasca. In it's own way the group will change the world!

Events

Youth for Change's first fund rasing event.

The 1st Annual "Dare to Care" Walk-A-Thon. Less then ten people joined in the walk but everything must start some place. Most of the people that walked had gotten people to pledge money to do the walk. An estimated $200 Canadian Dollers was made. All the money was donated to the Manitoba flood.

YFC's 2nd Event

On June 30 YFC had a yard sale at Mistassiniy School in Wabasca-Desmarais. All donations of old "junk" were greatly appreciated. Money rased will be saved for the next comming summer when the SUNIA seminar happens. So if you couldn't give junk thanks for comming out and buying some junk!

Youth for Change will continue to rase money for important issues by many ways. If you would like to help out the group by giving good fund rasing ideas or money to the group you can conntact Ian Hopfe at:
