Inuksuit The pictures on this page show some of the Inuksuit I saw. Inuksuit are stone cairns that have been built by the Inuit for centuries as signs and markers. They indicated good hunting or fishing areas, food stores, and as signposts while travelling accross the frozen, snowy tundra.

Inuksuk and antlers Inuksuk and Caribou antlers which were sitting nearby (and found their way next to the Inuksuk with a little help :-) ).
Another Inuksuk
Inuksuk Myself and an Inuksuk. If you look very closely, you can see snow in the background, the last week of July! There's also some fog - it was so thick in town (along the shore), that visibility was only a few hundred feet. The t-shirt I'm wearing is a gift from Singapore :-).
