The Feast of Lathimon
Saturday, April 18th
Each year, the Espel (Grey Elves) honor the memory of one who, some six hundred years hence, gave his life in the casting of a great gate that brought his king and countrymen to a haven safe from barbaric Otmena (human) aggression.
The GlamerVelt Elven Republic has chosen to adopt this holiday as well, in celebration of the nobility, honor and strength that is inherent in the Elven spirit.  Though the old kingdoms have fallen, we remain, elven, and eternal.
It is on this day that we extend a louder call, to the corners of this befouled Sosaria that we may have not reached, to our lost elven brethren who seek to return to a community of their own.  Elves, come home, and celebrate thy blood!
The Velt has much to celebrate as well - The Elven Tower has been raised!  And so the Feast - A chance for the Elves and Danotmena (Worthy humans) alike to come together and feast, dance, hold contests and games, and perhaps partake in a Grand Ellosi (Hunt for Evil) at the night's end.
Those interested in the story of Lathimon, more information on attending theFeast, and the holiday traditions that are to be observed, should send word to Councilor Azrael.
