Our school was established since 1966 with Mr Wijeysingha (former Principal of RI) as our first Principal. The surrounding area used to be kampung and hence most of our pupils came from this area. Through the years we have excel in a number of areas. For example, our Dikir Barat has won a number of national awards and our Chinese Orchestra has performed overseas and had also done the school proud by winning awards.
With the educational system changing over the years, our school has also focus our intructional programmes to cater to these needs.
