Hi and Welcome to this tutorial about HTML editing! Here you can learn about HTML if your a novice or a advanced HTML user. For beter viewing plesure you can edit the background color with the bar at the botom!

I'll start with explaining what HTML actualy is:

HTML is short for "Hyper Text Markup Language". It is actualy a MS Word document on steroids. Idealy suited for the internet because of it's small format, all webpages are built up of HTML documents (OK, so there are still a few text based webpages, these are very rare however!)

HTML isn't compiled like executeble programs so you don't realy need a special editor. If you do, however, prefer an easy "Ckick and Drag" editor, I'd advise Dreamweaver 2 by Macromedia. You can download a free trail version on there site (11MB). But even if you DO chose this approach it's still handy to folow this tutorial.

If you chose the other approach, you gain total control over webpage lay-out and functions, but at the cost of having to remember all of the basic codes for the page. In that case you can use almost all text editors available, I use MS Notepad!
