This is one of the first rhyming poems I've ever tried, so forgive me. :)

Friends

When day grows long,
And night draws nigh,
The dark crawls in,
The light slides by,
Be not afraid,
You're not alone.
You've got your friends,
You've got your home.
When solitude threatens
And boredom abounds,
And the fears of life chase you
Like so many hounds,
Call on us,
We'll not fail you.
And never forget,
We love you.

I congratulate poets that rhyme all of the time. It's a lot harder then it looks.
