In exercise of the powers conferred by Section3(1) of the Military Forces Ordnance,1952:the Armed Forces Council with the approval of the Yang DiPertuan Agong directs that with effective from the 11th day of May 1967, there shall be raised and maintained in Malaysia in so far as as money provided for the purpose by Parliament may permit,a military force to be known as Pasukan Ubatan dan Gigian or in English, the Medical and Dental Corps. Government Gazette Notification P.U.386/67 Dated 30th June 1967 With the above pronouncement,the Medical and Dental Corps was sanctioned to be formed as a distinct entity. |
Description of the Crest ---------------------------- The KUG Corps Crest(or insigna,emblem,badge or logo)bears the traditional Caduceus of Hermes(Mercury) in the center,ringed on either side by a sheaf of V-shaped ,paired petal of golden padi grains,broad from below converging at a narrow top, on which rests the crown of insigna of the King:and at the bottom,encompassing the width of the coat-of-arms,the words | ||||||||||||||||
