New SSOTW

Well here is my first post in like the last 10 days and it has to do with the newest Screenshot which is kinda a weird one. Tons of new stuff in there. There is a new skill shown for the Paladin, a new icon and the camouflaged Frog Demons. I personally couldn't pick these little buggers up right away but I think their all over the place surrounding that statue. Otherwise I don't know where they are. This SSOTW isn't the greatest but something to talk about :) Thanx to Diabloii.net for the info on the icon, skill and those dang demons.

I hate waiting for games to....by the way, I just bought Half-life the other day and wondered if someone could teach me some stuff or help me out with the Multi-player set up. The main thing I was wondering is if the multi is always really laggy? Thanx

Newest Screenie

Man is this ever sweeet!!!! The newest Screenshot is a chaos. Tons of new stuff in there. Here's my little thoughts about it:

3 characters in the shot, with about hmmmm... lets say 30 skeleton :), Barbarian is the guy that take the shot, with Amazon and Necromancer helping around when he's chopping. Necromancer is still with that nasty skeletons and golem spell while Amazon using her lightening strike. Those skeletons got those little "Eyes" on them casted by Amazon.
Barbarian is giving us a new move here, offensive jump.
Necromancer is well, hehe not so busy, with his cool bone armor with him, he will just stand there can let his minion do their work=]
Amazon is quite busy with those skeletons packed up with her, butno worry, B to the RESCUE!!!!
Also we can see the newest and beautiful version of Town Portal down at the cornor and man I just love it.

Summary of the Week

Well, lots of things happened in this week, I will list them below:

1. Gamespot released their 3rd installment for the DiabloII preview, and this one is focused on the 5 different character classes, interesting, but not as the other 2. Worth a read, click HERE

2. The letters on the D2 box is finally figured out. "Evil Returns" reasonable and cool.

3. Big time!!!! DII beta delayed, but I think it is for good, if a company think the game is not finished, than it is no good, if they release it on time but a uncheck and un polished game, I rather wait for another month or 2. Cause I don't want to waste my money on a "good" game.

4. Members are not active these days, cause of the school I guess, or maybe me =], well, school school school =] Members Let's get cranking =]

5. Arkane's leaving. I guess, Good bye Arkane. Nice to work with you, but I will stay. maybe I need another guy to help around. who knows.......

I'm back but probably not for long

Hey everybody it's me Arkane. I know you all think I'm dead and that I jumped off a cliff or some odd thing like that but my computer has been away for the past 2 weeks and I didn't even know it was getting taken away. My parents got me a Cd burner for me BDay and they had it installed right away. Then I call to ask when I can get it and they told me they had to put a whole new mother board in for some reason. Well the only news I have to report before me job is officially gone is that today the guys over at Diinet deciphered the lettering on the box cover. The writing was "Malum Superest" and was apparently in latin. It has several similar meanings but to sum it up real quick it means "Evil Returns". Props to the guys over at Diinet and anyone who emailed them trying to help. And my closing statement for this post is that I didn't have a very good time back with my comp. the first day because the news of Blizzard basically delaying the game and the beta. Blizzard is a great company with great games but it is quite disturbing when a company delays a game for months on months. Kinda like how Westwood delayed TS big time. My friend was supposed to get it in April and they delayed it until August. Well this is most likely my final goodbye from the D2news page. Thanx to BB for giving me the oppurtinity to help out with the site and brush up on my HTML. Goodbye

A Few Announcments

Well, School is really buggin me these days, I even missed the SSOTW, anyway, it is Here, it features a Paladin fighting some bunch of skeleton in act II I think. A fancy mix of skeleton troops. Cool.
Well, another thing is, if there's anybody in this Guild knows something about CGI, I would like you to help out, cause I can't use computer at home, so I can only use some school time to do the posting, I would really like the page to install a news updater script so I can post often.

DiabloII beta DELAYED!!!!!! Read the entire Blizzard post here:

Hello Everybody,
This email is to update you on the status of the Diablo II beta test. As you all know, we have been hoping to release the beta this month. However, after several meetings and discussions, the team has determined that right now we need to focus on getting Act II, Act III and the finale ready to ship before turning our attention to beta feedback.
We are working very diligently to get the game out this year, and by shifting the beta date until the end of October, we hope to be able to finish the game before year's end. I can assure you that there will be a beta, and by finishing Act II, Act III and the finale sooner rather than later, we will be better positioned to implement user suggestions.
We hope you understand this necessary schedule change and realize that we believe that the decision is in the game's best interest. We'll keep you updated in the upcoming weeks on the beta's progress.

Gamespot D2 Preview Number II

Well, we missed it last week, but not this one. Gamespot just released their Part 2 of DiabloII Preview, it features alot of new screenshots, and a detailed walkthrough about quests in DiabloII, lots os quest and informatino and NPC unknown to man =] So why wait. GO GO GO NOW!!!

Haha check this out, the big version of the DII box shot. By this u can see that the production for the box and menus and others are nearly complete, that means the beta isn't far now, my breatheren, be prepared.

SSOTW

Well, the new SSOTW is up, it features 2 Necromancer duking out each other, cool shot with lots of summoned creatures, really sweet. First time see one of those skeleton portrait.
Really nice, also the newest Fan Site Interview is up, made by Yegg's. Not alot of new info in there. but it is a good read if you want to know more about D2.

Few updates

As you can see, there haven't been alot things happening in D2 community these days, because the game is almost near completion, and Blizzard didn't bring it to ECTS.But here's something you maybe find ineresting =]
Recently Bill spoke to some of the spanish guys at ECTS about DiabloII, Good old DiabloII.net got some translations about the question, in there Bill simply said the beta will begin in about 2 weeks, and after that there's will be a big commercialize thingy every company do, Magazine, movie..... than it will RELEASE
Here is the full quote:

ECTS Diablo II may be released within a month and a half

It was one of the big absences from the convention but we were able to talk with its producer Bill Roper.

Since one of the most anticipated games is D2, one of the necessary tasks we had to complete at ECTS was to find out when the game will be released.

Bill Roper, father of Diablo and D2, attended to us in his usual kind and generous manner and, new in his appearance this year, this great big guy was sporting much longer hair than we remembered. The question was a direct one and sent his way right after the greeting, "Hey Bill, where is your game?" Bill responded that it was practicaly done and because of that reason they hadn't brought it to the convention and also they didn't want to take the spotlight off WCIII. But within two weeks , around Sept. 20th, D2 would begin final beta testing and Bill hopes that within a month later it would begin the massive commercialization. Finally it seems clear that D2 will be released before Christmas but it should then by competing with an unexpected rival, Nox from Westwood Studios, an eventuality that could have been prevented had it been released previously."
