Rules of Conduct for Kajirae on Mage Vale Mu*
Note : These are IC only rules. On Mage Vale all are equal OOCLY
- Jealousy and envy will not be tolerated in kajira or kajirus.. They
have no place in a slaves mentality and shall be punished if noticed.
- I will not tolerate dishonesty from anyone in my house, I am honest
with you and demand the same in return.
- A slave upholds the honor of his/her House at all times.
- Kajira and kajirus will serve all equally and will make no attempt to
distinguish between Gor and non Gor role-players.
- There will be no serving of any Realmers that do not respect the ways
of Gor, and none of these unrespectful individuals will be interacted with
on any level.
- Always strive to be as pleasing as possible to the one you are serving,
they will have your full attention during the time you are with them.
Your actions are a direct reflection on me and my ability to be a Master.
- Any Story Lines involving the House should be brought before me first
so I can make sure it is not too damaging to the House. Once I check
the story line over I will either allow it or not.
- There will be no actions taken by any of my slaves that might be
counterproductive to the house. In saying this, no slave shall kill
themselves, run away, or involve themselves in any s/l that will take away
from the house. Anyone wishing to be sold, shall bring their request
to me and I will consider it. Anyone running away will have two days to
return or will be considered dead to the house. If you must be away, a
@mail is an easy way to avoid any problems.
- Their mindset is always to appears pleasing ..would never consider
crying in public, or anything else that would draw attention to themselves
and dishonor the House they represent. They will not discuss house
issues in public.. if unsure it is better to err on the side of good
judgment.
- Unfortunately there are slaves who are constantly getting hurt do not
see that as dishonoring or unbecoming behavior of a slave, even though
they know Master's desires. A Master or Mistress that must constantly
deal with the problems of an "accident prone" slave, or is called
to the site of one disaster after another, will soon tire of it, and decide
that owning one such as this is not pleasing, and life would be easier
without them.
- A White Silk in training may not enter a tavern or inn without being
accompanied by the Master/ Mistress/ Trainer or the first or second boy/girl
of that House. They are NOT to serve food, drinks or attempt any dances in
the presence of any other Masters or Mistresses but their own. If you are a
white silk in training, let the occupants of the tavern know, by requesting
permission to enter and study. If you are
asked to serve anyway, please inform the Mistress/Master requesting such
that you in training and will do your best to please. Note that
this is a white silk in training.. not a white silk.
- A trained White Silk must maintain their modesty. White Silks may NOT
sit upon another Masters lap or dance. They may serve food and
drink, they are NOT to engage in any physical contact with another Master.
If such is requested they should politely beg forgiveness but inform the
Master/Mistress that such is forbidden by their House. A white silk serves
in Tower. Their thighs are kept closed. Do not put the goblet between them
but in front of them. Do not touch it to your heat. Note that no
physical contact with a kajirus is allowed as well.
- During the period that the slave wears the "white silks" they
will not go to the furs unless it is part of their training. They will
not enter into a private room without their Master or one of the House as
this is not a place to learn without the guidance of one of the House.
- All slaves must request permission to enter or leave a tavern or inn.
If they are ignored, they may repeat such, and if still ignored may go
quietly to the serving furs. The exception is places such as the Inn Kennels
which is where they may enter and exit freely. These are the areas for
them to rest and play. However, respect is still to be maintained for any
Master or Mistress entering such.
- If you need to go AFK for a long time, do so in the Inn kennels or Use
+set ooc.
- Many slaves show their disrespect for masters and mistresses by the use
of thoughts. Saying in their defense that no one can read their minds. By
such they are showing disrespect and such is not allowed. This is Gor and
normally the reading of minds is impossible. However, many Masters/Mistresses are also masters of the art of body
language, especially as concerns their slaves. You are a slave,
such can be punished.
- Do not correct another slave in the Tavern -- if you feel it is
absolutely necessary to correct another slave, do so in page. NOTE: slaves
are trained differently from house to house, what is correct for you, may
not be for another.
- This world role-playing rooms, the use of OOC is to be kept to
the bare minimum (screen freeze)(RL emergency). If such a comment must be
used, it would be better to request of the mistress or master one is
attending to page to them. In this way the entire room is not subjected to
your personal objections or explanations.
- If you are serving, the person you are serving
is your entire focus. You do not greet anyone entering...You do not smile at
a brother or sister. If the one you are serving is punted, give them a
respectful amount of time to return. You may either continue your serve to
the point that you kneel before their table, or suspend the serve and wait
until they return to watch. Too much time, then you may return the items to
the servery and yourself to the serving furs. A good kajira/kajiru, however,
remembers that Master/Mistress and if they return, tis good form to ask if
they wish the serve completed, providing you are not busy at the time.
- You do not trip on furs in order to douse someone with a drink, or
pretend some such accident to create a scene. I know and you know that is a
bid for attention. You are slave, this is punishable, for we know it was
deliberate.
- All freepersons are to be addressed as Master or Mistress (read their
profiles when they enter if you do not know them). Greet them as such when
they enter, unless you are serving. If you don't know their gender, then
address them as Master. If they request differently, remember the freeperson
is always correct. Do so, but you may blush or look uncomfortable to do
such.
- While freepersons are not always right, as far
as a slave goes, they are never wrong. You have the last words. They are
"Yes, Master." Arguing with a freeperson is not allowed.
- A slave does not start a conversation with a freeperson, unless they
first request permission to speak and get it. You don't keep advertising
your presence by asking if you may serve. If a freeperson looks to the
serving furs, your eyes are supposed to be down, you may not answer
verbally, however you can make some action to show you are available.
- Slaves do not normally speak in IM's (instant message) to any free
person you do not know without first requesting permission to
"whisper". I understand that there may be times when you need
clarification or help. Or need information in regards to an SL. Use good
judgement. There is no restriction on slave to slave IM's. Note that
my White Silk kajira are not allowed to speak with another Master/Mistress
in whispers unless it has been expressly stated to my kajira from me.
This also extends to kajira at such times that it is beleived that a
Master/Mistress may be using the kajira to try and get around this rule.
- If you receive an IM you consider vulgar or inappropriate, report it to
your master/mistress or one you know in the room. Ask permission to ignore
such a person. Note such permission will always be granted to my
kajira. A polite but firm request to the
offending party, from a Master or Mistress, to leave the slave alone has
worked wonders in many an instance.
- Slaves shall use the proper syntax at all times
while speaking in the Tavern. ie...third person. There is no "I",
"me", "my" or "mine" in a slaves vocabulary.
This is not meant to be degradable but to demonstrate the exotic and beauty
each slave holds...and to stand them apart from Free persons.
- Collared and uncollared slaves are subject to
the discipline of free persons, should their behavior in the taverns warrant
such. A slave giving serious offense, whether intentional or otherwise,
should expect a response. Such responses can range anywhere from an order to
a kajirae to beg their master to beat them for inappropriate behavior, to
finding themselves gagged and manacled to the tavern wall awaiting their
Master to pick them up. Note that any physical punishment of my
kajira is to be handled by me alone. Any kajira of mine that would be
punished will inform the free person that only their Master is allowed to
physically punish them and that the offended is requested to send to me a
log of the incident if it is available and a description of the offence.
- Slaves will dutifully submit to any punishment administered by a
freeperson. Collared slaves may be asked to leave the Tavern and their
Master/Mistress notified. Repeat offenders are subject to banishment as a
Master or Mistress will not allow them there for fearing that their House
will be dishonored. And will so inform others. (Please note that I do not
mean the snorts that intentionally hassle. I mean a legitimate master or
mistess.) Also note that only I am allowed to physically punish my
kajira.
- If you are ordered to serve, you must do so. A slave must obey. If you
have entered the tavern of your own free will, you will serve any freeperson
there who requests it. Remember you have recourse to a request to leave if
the conduct of the freeperson cannot be tolerated. Or can request a known
mistress or master to ignore said person. Keep in mind also your silks and
service appropriate to them.
- Slaves shall not handle any money. Gorean law permits they carry money
in their teeth or in a small pouch around their neck.
- Slaves shall not handle ANY weapon at any time.
This includes knives used in the kitchen, such as butter or paring knives.
The exception are specially trained fighting slaves used as bodyguards.
There is no such thing as a fighting kajira. Period. Fighting
kajiru do NOT possess weapons, nor are they trained to use them. They
can be trained to use cesti, but no more then that... Weapons are sacred to
a rarius... No slave would be allowed to touch such an item, let alone
insult a rarius by being a mockery of his caste... A society dependant upon
slaves does not train and arm those it has in chains, if it wants to prevent
rebellion ((and if you want to say "gladiators," I respond -
"Spartacus." If you say "Jannisaries," well then
remember how many Sultans were deposed by them...)). No Assassination
Attempts are to be made or accepted upon my kajira.. any such attempts will
be sent to me and then ignored.
- You are a slave. A slave is property. If you
are not up to serving in a pleasing manner, stay out of the tavern or inn.
You may be alluring, appealing, even humorous, but you are not to be
graphically erotic. If you use slave heat in a serve be prepared to submit
to that masters or mistresses use. Also, be aware of your own mistresses or
masters preferences in this matter. Taking care of an itch, so to speak,
could get you killed. However, this is not a brothel, you are to serve such
use in an alcove.
- Bratty subs, insubordinate behavior, or "snootiness" will not
be tolerated and offenders will suffer strict Gorean punishment for their
actions -- up to and including being tied and flogged in public
- Often a room will contain few Masters and many
slaves, which results in a lot of slaves who have no one to serve. If this
is so, find other ways to make yourself useful... doing chores, cooking,
etc. One does not enter a room, loudly ask if anyone needs service, then
quit when no answer is forthcoming. In addition, one does not just sit
silently in a room awaiting a call to service. Make your presence known, but
do not pester each Master and beg to serve, or stand up and loudly ask if
anyone needs service. This does not constitute pleasing behavior.
- Slaves are allowed, even expected, to have fun
in the area. This includes engaging in pleasant conversation with free
persons and other slaves; still, a wise slave knows when to shut up, and
weighs each remark carefully lest she be found displeasing.
- Check profiles to see if the person entering is
free. Behave appropriately. If you are given an instruction which you do not
understand or feel is inappropriate, ask for clarification. If ordered to do
something which you feel to be unlawful, contact a Master or Mistress and
beg for aid.
- There are dozens of Gorean taverns and
inns...All are different. Masters and Mistresses will vary according
to their slaves willingness to aid and advise you. If you need further
assistance and it is not forthcoming, contact your fellow slaves and ask for advice. Often they can steer you in the right
direction.
