THE THIRD SCENARIO OF LARISSA - 19 september 1943

			A Scenario for Steel Panthers

Installation:

Copy the files SCEN049.CMT, SCEN049.TXT and SCEN049.DAT into the directory
\STEEL\SCEN\. This will place them in the European section. If you
have already created a new scenario with this number, or have DL'd
someone else's, then simply rename the files to a free number, i.e. copy
everything in a temporary directory and modify the numbers using dos:
say you have these files on a diskette in a:...
	 you see you type

	 c:\> md tempy
	 c:\> cd tempy
	 c:\tempy> a:
	 a:\> copy ?????49.* c:
	 a:\> c:
c:\tempy> ren ?????49.* ?????XX.* (where XX is the new slot)
	 c:\tempy> copy *.* c:\steel\scen
	 c:\tempy> del *.*
	 c:\tempy> cd..
	 c:\> rd tempy

Players' Notes:

It is recommended that the human player take first the Italian side for
two reasons; the Italian forces are attacking and, historically, the
Germans were not at all prepared. In my opinion the Germans must use the
Lynxs very smartly in order to win (as it was!). If you want to experiment
with balance, the biggest changes can be made by increasing ammos.
The map reproduces the airport of Larissa, in the greek region of Tessaglia
This is the third scenario about Larissa, see the file Greece.txt for
explanations.
I am preparing a series of scenarios about the battles that the
Italians fought against the Germans in Greece and Albania after the Italian
collapse of the 8th of September: Lero, Rodi, Corf, Cefalonia, Larissa,
Devoli, Verat, Kruja, Eubea. This is the third experimental file:
please e-mail me any suggestion or comments you may have.
