For many years people has made many questions about Windows Operating System. Some of those questions were if there is a form to know more about that Operating System and take advantage of it. Well...Guess what, you will discover incredible characteristics hidden in Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT.

Internet Explorer 4.0 is not only a Web Browser, instead in the best upgrade that Windows 95 can receive from you. The Internet Explorer 4.0, when is finally installed on your computer, it designs all the cennections of the phone access, delets the Windows Explorer, supervises the Start Menu and the toolbar, and finally, it took the complete control of the Windows Desktop. Pretty good until now, uh! Well, lets see Windows with X-rays and find out how you can take advatage of Windows 95 with Internet Explorer 4.0.

After installation, IE4 puts in the start menu the Favorites Folder without you need to open any window but, you really need this in the menu... probably not. You have to get rid of it. HOW? It´s easy, open the Regedit program in the windows file. Then the files in this order: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer.

Finally, choose Edit, New, DWORD Value. Change the name to NoFavoritesMenu. Press enter and change the contents value to 1. Restart the computer to make the changes.

If you are connected with other computers, you will need the command but, in a personal computer that is used only in your house, you probably not. Go to Regedit program and then introduce the next key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Policies\Explorer.

Finally, choose Edit, New, Binary Value. Change the name to NoLogOff and press enter. Asign to it the next value: 01 00 00 00.

Under IE4, the Windows file first shows a message that tell you that changing anything in the file will be bad for your system. With this, you have to make another click in order to see the contents of the file. To take out that warning, first you need to adjust your system to let you see all the files. You can do it by choosing in the Explorer Window, View, Folder Options, make a click the View tag and press the option of Show all files.

Later, go to Windows file, look for a folder called Web and then delete a file called Folder.htt. That´s it.

With IE4 you can now move, copy, delete or change the properties of the selected direct access. Just "drag and drop" using the right bottom of the mouse.
