Biography

Britney Spears was born on December 2, 1981 in her hometown Kentwood, Louisiana. As a little girl she was singing all day long and drived her mom crazy. With some friends she usually played that she was a  singer and gave performences on the table. Her first real performence was at kindergarden. She was so shy that she turned her head to her schoulder the whole time she was singing. At 4 years old she went to ballet and later jazzballet. When she ad enough of that she started going to gymnastics. She also had singing lessons. She won alot shows and the other kids always fight for the second place if they saw Britney, because they new that Britney was gonna win.

At the age of  nine she and a friend had seen on tv that there was an audition for the Micky Mouse Club in Florida. She asked her mom if she could go there, but her mom didn't wanna drive all the way to Florida. Britney asked it for two weeks, and finally her mom said o.k. There were alot people at the audition and Britney didn't thought she would make it. But she and her friend were with the last six. They didn't get it 'cause the people thought that they were to young. But someone said that he had an agent in New York and if Britney would like to go there, she could.

After a few months Britney went to New York and get a job in a off Broadway production called: "Ruthless". She did that and her mom always said: " If you wanna go home, just say it and you go". They told Britney that she have to perform on Christmas eve and Britney didn't like that, so she called her mom and she got back to Kentwood. That was 2 years after her first audition for the Micky Mouse Club. She got home and she was asked to do another audition for the Micky Mouse Club. Britney did that and she got the job. She went to Florida for 2 years. We she came back, she wanted to sing again. For two years she had a normal live as every teenager.

At 15 years old her agent from New York, Larry Rudolph, contact Britney with Jive Records. Britney went there and sing: 'I have nothing', a Withney Houston song.  She got the record deal  and a year later a number one album and single and breacking world records in the Billboard charts. The album has now reached platinum in the US, Holland, Germany, Sweden, France, Japan, Taiwan, and alot more countries.  In the UK, Britney is the youngest person who ever sold over a million copies of her single: baby one more time.
