I started this buisness because I am tierd of paying the high prices that most stores and internet sites charge. When I first got on the internet I had the understanding that this was a tool to make your life easier and let you buy things cheaper. So far the internet has fallen short of this idea. I am here to change that. You will not see a 150% mark up on my site. If I get something at a cut rate wholesale price then I will pass the savings on to you. An example of this would be the leather jackets that I will have available in Jan/2001. I will be selling these for $40-$48. The same jackets sell elsewhere for as much as $89. I do not sell junk and call it gold. I get a sample of every item I sell before I decide to sell it. This way I can see if it is a good product or just some cheap junk that I wouldn't buy if it only cost a penny. When I set a price on an item I look at two things; what the item cost me (adjusted for what little over head bills I have) and what would I pay for the item. Most of the time the price I decide to sell an item for is much lower than what I feel would be a good price to pay for it. I'm not rich, nor do I expect to get rich. I am just one man who is attempting to make all of the other retailers in this country mad buy telling you the truth about what you should pay for an item. You should be able to buy a DVD player for $100 and a 19 inch TV for $110 but can you find anyone selling them for these prices? No. Most retailers will sell you an item for the most money they think you will pay for that item. They believe in the old addage "a fool and his money are soon parted". My perspective on selling is if I give you the absolute lowest price on the items I sell then you will save enough money to buy more items with. Think about it at Christmas time your spouce wants a nice leather jacket. You can go to your local store and pay $100 or you can come to J.Imports and get 2 for that price and have some change left over. The choice is yours....
