welcome to the Roms and Emulators section

If you are new to the world of roms and emulators, or 
you ended up here by mistake and are wondering what the 
hell all this is about, here are some quick definitions:

EMULATOR
this is a piece of software that allows you to play old
console games (eg. snes, genesis/megadrive, nes etc) on 
your pc. there are loads available out there for many 
different consoles

ROM
these are the "games". they are downloaded from different 
places and work hand in hand with the emulator. it usually
takes under a minute to download a rom for the snes or 
megadrive/genesis emulators although there are sometimes 
minor compatibility problems so be sure to check you are 
d/loading the right roms for the emulator you have
