My hobbies are:

Magazines
My favourite my magazines are  (i) Drum Magazine
                                                 (ii) Africa Magazine

I started reading magazines when I was at standard 2. Drum was the fisrt magazine I read, because at home one of my sisters used to buy it every month as it was also her favourite magazines. It was easy for me to read and understand what I read, because their (reporters) English was not that difficult for me to understand.

The part that I enjoyed most in Drum magazine is - short stories and sports. Also the English of the writers was very easy, I think it is because they are South African writers. They stories were based mostly on the current situation or things that are happens in the country.

In sports they wrote everything about the players in and out the field. The way they  interview the soccer players before and after the  major games or cup finals, the pictures  were also of high quality. Another part that I liked about the Drum is the way they wrote about our heros and heroins during the days of struggle, especially in the early 90s shortly before the release of Nelson Mandela and others. They wrote everything also about their history. I enjoyed it and I learned a lot from it I must say.

Africa Magazine

I also enjoyed it a lot, because there were stories about most of the African countries. In it like the stories because I could knew what was happening around our own continent Africa. But I dislike the pictures they published , becuase according to my opinion I think it is not right to show the wolrd some of the pictures of our own brothers and sisters. Beside that, some times the news I read would make me cry, and some times happy.

 NOVELS
In novels I like the writings of Bessie Head, Chinua Archebe and the writer of Kabelwa Manong , , and other African writers. I enjoy most of the works of the African writer because the in most cases write about the things that happen in our lifes. And from the Sotho novells, the writers there don't just tell the story but they teach you how to live clean life. Because from some stories they will tell the story of , for example,  the child who do not respect or who misbehave, but at end you learn from that story the results of misbehaving

Bessie Head 'writings
Her stories are more about the the way the black people were treated in the time of aparthied. From her writings my favourite is Maru. In here she wrote about the people of Masarwa. Her stories were superb.

Chinua Archebe 's writings.
He is one the top African writer. He is from Nigeria, he also write more about the life we live here in Africa. The way other nations treated us.I like his novell by the name of  Things fallen apart.

Reggae
Reggae is my best favourite music. I started lestinig to this type of music in my ealry age. Because one of my brothers like the music. I grow up with brothers who like reggae. It became the only music that I could recognise. Even though they bought many albums from various artists, I was impressed by Bob Marley. At home they had the likes of Peter Tosh, Lucky Dube, Jambos, and many more.

Many songs of Bob Marley , he sing about the way the African people live.Again now that I can understand the mesage of the song , I noticed that he fought for black liberation through music. He sing about the way other people treat African people. His songs are based most in African events.

My fisrt album  - Babylon by bus
This was my fisrt album I that bought .This album contains many songs.
The likes of : (i) War
                     (ii) Rate race
                     (iii) Jamming
                     (iv) Heathen
                     (v) Exodus
and many more.

 HUNTING

I enjoy hunting very much, especially during the Winter holidays. I have two dogs, bamohloile and phokojwe. I started hunting when I was about 12 years. It is sometime dangerous to hunt, if for example the , the animal been hunted try to protect itself. But only to people who are beginners in hunting , to us (experts) we do not even bother our self with wondering what are we going to do if such situation arise.

When hunting my favourite target is spring bok. It meats is so delicious. To catch the this animal you must have the dogs that can run very fast in order to catch the springbok. But this animal is not dangerous, it cannot fight for itself  like the animals that can't run as fast as it. It relies most on its ability to run fast.

That is what I noticed about various animals, those who cannot run fast are very dangerous, they have some ways in which they can protect themselves unlike those who relies on their speeds. It is nice to hunt, I enjoy most when we come home catching something.Like also the dried meat of this wild animals.

My aim now with hunting is to go and hunt at national parks where in the past it was only  certian people who were allowed to go and hunt. In there we would not rely only on dogs because the are big animals there that can kill the dogs. It is where hunting could be dangerous. This are my dogs.....!

Phokojwe

This is  .Phokojwe is a Sotho name meaning  wild dog .Wild dog is an animal that eat sheep .But this one of mine it is not a wild dog it just a name my father gave it, because it looks like the wild dog. It  seven months old .I like it very much .My problem with this dog is that every time when feed it ,it checks first to see if the food ,is same as that I ate .How will it knows if the food is different ? . It spend much of the time sleeping next to the kitchen door. So who knows , if it does this in order to smell what kinds of foods is been prepared. It seems as if it make some investigations while we thought it is just sleeping next to the door.

Bamohloile

This is my dog .Bamohloile is a Sotho name meaning being hated .It is hated by the people who steals and break in to houses when owners are away .It is two years four months old now (14 October 2000) .My Uncle gave it to me when it was about six months old. Its mother died five year ago at the age of ten years old. I know it as much as I know myself .When  it is happy or unhappy by merely just looking at it,  I can see it.

If I 'm away ,say I arrive late at home , if they did not gave it enough food ,it will barks at me as if I'm a stranger then I will know that something is wrong .But when it is happy it will sleep next to my room 's window ,then I know it is very happy .
