- Finalised the visual basic program and change it into a final .exe file.
- Create and adjust some information in the 'Readme.txt' file for the visual basic Web Val
2.0 program. The readme file consists of instruction and notes on how to use the program.
- Search for new RoboCup papers on the Internet, use the search software known as Web
Ferret for the task. Acquired a lot of duplicate website, which I have already visited
throughout the entire attachment period. Spent three hours on the task.
- Submit the report and the visual basic program (in a floppy disk) to my supervisor for
checking.
- Unsubscribe to Visual Basic Beginners Mailing list at ElSoft.
Unsubscribe from my KRDL email address.

- Unsubscribe to Visual Basic discussion list at MAISER, obtained from
AOL, and VB 5 Assistant,
obtained from Mark's Christian and Computing Domain. Unsubscribe from my KRDL email
address.
- Spent 6 hours doing the documentation for the Web Val 2.0 program. The documentation
will provide users with some information about the program I created. Work on the
'Introduction' and 'Description' portion of the program.
- Organise the information in the documentation and create a content page for the
documentation. The content page acts as a guideline of what information are to be included
in the documentation for the program.

14/10/98 |
- Continue on with the documentation to the program. Spent another six hours on the task.
Touch on the 'Problems and Solution' portion of the documentation. Also include an
appendix section that carries the original source codes of the project.
- Use an image software known as Adobe Photoshop 5.0 to capture the Web Val 2.0 user
interface, to be included in the documentation in the "Instruction' portion. The
images created will enhance the user understanding on the operations of the program.
- Work on the web documentation, create some webpages to house the information on the
issues surrounding autonomous agents.
- Organise the information in the local robobib directory. Finalised the information in
the RoboCup competitors' list and also the RoboCup bibliography for the new RoboCup
papers.

15/10/98 |
- Finalised the documentation for the Web Val 2.0 program, includes some graphics for the
explanation on how to use the Web Val 2.0 program. Create the documentation's cover page.
- Pack up all the file used for this attachment onto a subdirectory in my local fixed C
drive for Tralvex to look through. Created 4 main subfolders labeled 'sip' (for all the
attachment documentation reports), 'web' (for all the webpage created for the attachment
web documentation and their respective graphic files), 'webval2.0' (for all the visual
basic programs for the programming assignment) and 'autoagents' (for all the documentation
report for the assignment on the issues surrounding autonomous agents:text mining).
- Print out all the documentation for the Web Val 2.0 program and bind all the info-sheet
together for submission to Tralvex.

| Friday |
16/10/98 |
- Zip up some required file requested by Tralvex. Zip up some input and output files from
my Web Val 2.0 program. Zip up most of the information on the overall attachment
documentation and reports.
- Clear my computer contents, the contents refers to the files that I created during the
attachment. Transfer/backup all those file to the floppy disk for back up purposes.
- Return the security passes to the management and the borrowed materials from KRDL, e.g.
textbooks and office materials (e.g. staplers, stationary).

Weekly Summary of Task / Assignment
Well, well, well, its finally
the last week of the attachment period. How time flies. In this final week of my
attachment in KRDL, I performed some organisational work. All the files that I worked on
during the entire 15 weeks of the attachment are organised in a sub directory known as
\drive in the local C drive in the PC that I used. Within that subdirectory, I
created subfolders to organise the files further. All the organised files are to be access
by my supervisor, Mr. Tralvex Yeap for assessing. Besides doing that, I also spent most of
this weeks time in creating documentation for my Visual Basic program, as you would
know, known as Web Val 2.0. Below are some of the tasks I carried out during this last
week of the attachment.
- Creating documentation for Web Val 2.0.
After finalising the Web Val 2.0 program, I autonomously (hmm, funny how it sounds,
must got hooked on with the technical computer jargons already) work on in preparing he
documentation for the program. Basically inside this documentation are some information
pertaining the program I created. I have included five portions to the documentation. The
first portion is the Introduction portion, providing some information on the
purpose of the program and introductory facts. The second portion is the
Description portion, this portion deals with providing a detailed explanation
on the function of the program. The third portion is the Graphical Explanation
portion, providing graphical explanation to the validating process of the program. The
Instruction portion provides detailed instruction with graphical explanation
in the usage of the program for users. The Problem and Solution portion
basically elaborates some of the difficulties I faced in creating the program.
Chronological Development is the portion whereby there are some information on
the chronicles of the development of the program in tabular form. The last portion of the
documentation deals with providing the full original source codes of the program. In this
portion I have also included a picture of the user interface of the program.
Well, all those hard work had really paid
off. I manage to produce quite a number of completed assignments for this attachment. What
matters most is that, I have a very good experience in the working environment. I learnt a
lot of new things throughout the 15 weeks attachment period. I also have learnt some
valuable lessons in life. Thinking back of what I did really makes me smile. I really
enjoy this attachment, maybe because I reap the fruit of it.
I just like to thank my supervisor Mr.
Tralvex Yeap for all his help during this 15 weeks attachment period. And thank you for
spending the time in reading this report documentation.
Thank You. Bye.
