A clean, fast, and efficient database
And many more!
How do I add my own serial numbers to the database ?
1. Run program
2. Right click on 'User' and select 'Add' and give it a name (eg.My Serials)
3. Right click on 'My Serials' and select 'Add'
4. A box will open up and you can enter the relevant information.
5. When you close the program it will ask you if you want to save the new updated database.
Updating Serials 2000
Note that all updates are packaged into a .zip file for faster transfer. If you don't have a program that extracts .zip files, visit http://www.winzip.com or http://www.pkware.com.
1) After you have received your .zip file with the update files, unzip the '*.seu' files into a directory. Then launch Serials 2000 and go to File | Update Database. It will then prompt you for the directory that the '*.seu' files are in. Just navigate to that directory and select the '*.seu' files you need to update. Then hit ok, and watch the update process take place. After each update, it will ask you if you want to delete the update file, so if you are done with the file, go ahead and delete it.
2) After you have successfully updated all the files, close the program, and re-open it. The title of the window should now be your new version. If it's not, the update didn't happen correctly, so try again.
Version 7 won't run on my computer but version 6 will !
Version 7 will not run on a non-upgraded Windows 95
I keep getting the message "Failed to create empty document"
The easiest way to fix it is to install Internet Explorer 5.0. The reason you get
the error is because you have a few older dll files that need to be updated.
Unfortunately, we don't know exactly which dll files they are. Seems one always
slips through our test. Installing IE5 will fix all the problems. You may hate
Microsoft, but this will fix your problem quickly.
OR
For all those people who keep having problems with DLL files and Serials 2000, you can get these files from Microsoft. It will update all the libraries and should let you run Serials 2000 just fine. Give this a shot and see if it works.
