| Social Studies - We've learned about missions and are finishing up our mission projects. We plan on learning about the Gold Rush and how California became a part of the U.S. and eventually a state.
|
| Math - We learned all about fractions, and are returning to long division and 2-digit multiplication.
|
| Science - We studied the desert, and look forward to learning all about magnetism and electricity. Some hands on experiments include using a paperclip and a battery to light a light bulb, and we will be making
circuit boards soon.
|
| Language Arts - We are currently working on writing intelligent, meaningful paragraphs, and making sure that our sentences have the correct punctuation. We will start a lesson on Tall Tales, and eventually create our own tall tales!
|
| Books - We are reading By the Great Horn
Spoon!, a story about the Gold Rush. We will also be reading
Thomas Edison: Great Inventor, The Great Cheese
Conspiracy, and many more! |
Have a great Summer!!
