Daily Dose of George Clooney!
Intolerable Cruelty Premiere West

 PRAISE AT THE PREMIERE
Catherine Zeta Jones has praised her co-star George Clooney's performance in their new film Intolerable Cruelty, as "absolutely spectacular".

And the Welsh beauty has begged the well-heeled residents of rich Los Angeles suburb Beverly Hills for forgiveness after filming the micky-taking movie.

Speaking to Sky News about acting next to the Hollywood hearthrob, she laughed: "It's not bad. Somebody has to do it."

Intolerable Cruelty is the story of a successful LA divorce lawyer seeking new challenges when he meets a money-chasing, serial divorcee.

At the California premiere of the film, Catherine added: "I just hope the whole of Beverly Hills forgives us at some point."

The star said she jumped at the chance to work with the Coen Brothers, famous for Fargo and O Brother, Where Are Thou?

And Clooney added praise for the writing duo, saying: "They are always nutty, they are insane. If you are ever going to do a romantic comedy you should do it with the Coen Brothers."

Intolerable Cruelty opens in the US on October 10 - the same day as Kill Bill, Quentin Tarantino's fifth film.

October 2003
George Clooney and Catherine Zeta Jones turned up to the premiere of their new movie 'Intolerable Cruelty' in LA last night (Tuesday).

Catherine plays a revenge-seeking gold digger who marries a womanising Beverly Hills lawyer (George) with the intention of making a killing in the divorce.

Clooney has apparently joked that the characters are based on Ben and J-Lo, but Catherine's sitting on the fence:

"If I did know these people I wouldn't say, because that would be the kiss of death. But it's a heightened reality, you know."

"For us and George and the Coen brothers, when we want to embark on a romantic comedy, this is the best way to do it, because romantic comedies are the hardest things to find, for one. Secondly, we always know the ending, so to have this with a bit of bite and a twist is terrific."

George recently went through a bizarre marriage ceremony at a press conference, when a journalist bought along a priest to marry them and he went along with it. He said at the premiere he was loving married life:

"I've enjoyed my marital status. I think it's fantastic. I don't know her name, but it's been fantastic for me!"
