catcat's Trek Episode 9 (War Affair ---- Part 2/2)

In DS9, most of the time our good people are dealing with the Cardassian. Let's have a look this time how does the Enterprise handle them. Now continue ...

Picard: (voice) Captain's log, stardate 10009.00. A Cardassian attack cruiser equiped with a Klingon's cloaking device accuses the Enterprise is planning an attack on Cardassia. I believe it's actually an excuse for Gul Wilgates to attack us. And they are firing!

< Scene >: Main Bridge
(screen shaking)
Picard:   Damage report!
Worf:   Shields're holding ... No major damage.
Picard:   Wilgates! Cease fire! Or we'll fight back!
(screen shaking)
Wilgates:   Die, human! Die!
(screen shaking again)
Worf:   Sir! Shields down to 93 percent!
Picard:   Fire photon torpedos!

< Scene >: Outer space, Enterprise fires torpedos at the Cardassian attack cruiser

< Scene >: Main Bridge
Worf:   Direct hit ... Their shields're holding.
Picard:   Is it just me or our weapons aren't efficient at all?
Riker:   That's why they call it a sci-fic.
(screen shaking)
Worf:   Shields're down to 77 percent!
Data:   I have an idea Sir.
Riker:   No time for story, say it Data!
Data:   Run.
Picard:   Ensign, take us out of here! Maximum warp!

< Scene >: Outer space, Enterprise jumpped into warp and the attack cruiser follows

< Scene >: Main Bridge
Wesley:   Sir! They are following us!
Picard:   What's our warp speed?
Data:   Warp 9 ... Warp 9.1 ... Warp 9.2 ...
Picard:   What's the maximum warp speed of a Cardassian attack cruiser?
Data:   According to ship's database, warp 9.6 Sir.
Riker:   Then we can out run them.
Data:   We are now at warp 9.75
Picard:   Engineering, we need maximum warp speed!

< Scene >: Engineering
Geordi:   Aye Captain! I'll do my best ... there you go!

< Scene >: Main Bridge
Data:   We are now at warp 9.75 ... 9.8 ... 9.85 ... 9.9!
Picard:   How long can we stay at maximum warp?
Data:   Under the current ship's conditions, approximately 10 hours, 3 minutes and 17.2795 seconds Sir.
Riker:   Their speed's just 9.6, they can't follow us.
Data:   Sir, something strange is happening.
Picard:   What is it, Data?
Data:   The Cardassian ship is gaining on us!
Picard:   How's that possible!?
Data:   From my readings, they are travelling at warp 9.982.
Riker:   Even a Federation ship can rarely travelling at that speed!
Data:   Except the Defiant Sir.
Picard:   What are you saying, Data? They have a copy of cloaking device from the Klingon and a warp drive from the Federation?
Data:   I am not saying this Sir. I am suspecting.
Worf:   Sir! Wilgates is hailing us!
(Picard and Riker share a look)
Picard:   On screen!
Wilgates:   Give it up, Enterprise!
Picard:   Wilgates, where do you get your warp drive from?
Wilgates:   Ha ha ...! From a friend of mine, who's working for the Federation.
Data:   Sir! ... I think ... they are scanning our ship.
Picard:   What!?
Data:   They are downloading our ship's database from our computer.
Riker:   How can they penetrate our shields?
Data:   Intriguing! Their scanning signal has Romulan signature!
Picard:   Wilgates, where in hell do you get that ship from!? A Klingon's cloaking device, a Federation's warp drive and a Romulan's scanning device?
Wilgates:   The best ship ever! I'm fully loaded! I equiped with everything!
Data:   Captain! They are closing.
Wilgates:   Ha ha! Enterprise, you can't run!
Worf:   Captain! They're firing again!
(screen shaking)
Worf:   Shields're down to 62 percent!
Picard:   Return fire!

< Scene >: Outer space, Enterprise in warp and fires some torpedos from its aft launcher

< Scene >: Main Bridge
Worf:   Direct hit! Their shields're holding.
Picard:   Our weapons are only toys, why do I even care to fire?
(screen shaking)
Worf:   Shields're down to 49 percent!
(screen shaking, a science station explodes and some guy's down)
Worf:   Shields're down to 33 percent! Hull breach on Deck 32 in the Secondary Hull!
Riker:   Damn! The structural integrity field generators!
Computer:   (voice) Warning, structral integrity field failing.
Geordi:   (voice) Captain, I have to shut down the warp engine now or we could total lost the whole ship!
Picard:   Ok, do it Mr. La Forge!

< Scene >: Outer space, Enterprise slow down and the Cardassian attack cruiser stop in front of the Enterprise

< Scene >: Main Bridge
Picard:   All stop Wesley.
Wesley:   All stop Sir.
(screen shaking)
Worf:   Shields're down to 19 percent!
Wilgates:   Enterprise, it's time to surrender!
Picard:   If the Enterprise is leading a fleet, why don't they show up now and protect us?
Wilgates:   Oh! It seems that I was wrong. So what!? Ha ha .... Surrender Enterprise!
Picard:   Ok! We sur...
Worf:   (interrupt) Sir! A Klingon bird of prey and a Romulan war bird is decloaking!

< Scene >: Outer space, behinds the Cardassian attack cruiser, a Klingon bird of prey decloaked at its left and a Romulan war bird at its right and start firing on the Cardassian ship

< Scene >: Main Bridge
Picard:   Great! Mr. Worf! Join them!
Data:   Sir, even 3 ships firing on the Cardassian ship, their ship's shields are still holding.
Picard:   How is it possible!?
Data:   I have scanned their shields, and I have found some Ferengi's signature.
Picard:   Their ship is fully loaded! How can we beat them!?
Data:   We wait Sir.
Picard:   Data?
Data:   I have found that their computer is loaded with an Windows Stardate 10000.00 SP17 operating system which consumes huge amount of memory. Soon enough, they have to reboot their computer and their shields are down automatically.
Picard:   When will that happen?
Data:   According to my calculations, their ship will run out of memory and disk space in approximately 1 minute and 29.3410 seconds.
Picard:   Mr. Worf, acknowledge the Klingon and the Romulan vessel.
(Worf working on his console)
Picard:   Anything we should know?
Data:   As long as they are using Windows Stardate 10000.00 SP17, their ship's operations can not be stable at all. Soon enough it will experience serious disasters. And Captain, they are rebooting their computer in 9 seconds ... 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...
Picard:   Mr. Worf! Fire all weapons!

< Scene >: Outer space, 3 vessels firing on the Cardassian attack cruiser and it's becoming seriously damaged

< Scene >: Main Bridge
Worf:   Their ship's experiencing several hull breaches. Their shields can't get back up Sir. (pause) Gul Wilgates is hailing us.
Picard:   Tell the other 2 vessels to cease fire Mr. Worf, and put that Wilgates on main viewer.
Wilgates:   (hair as messy as a dork) It's not fair! 3 ships against 1! You guys can't join force and against me!
Picard:   Cardassian ships're not supposed to have Klingon's cloaking devices, Romulan's scanners, Federation's warp drives and ... Ferengi's shield? And I believe that's why the Klingon and the Romulan is here joining us.
Wilgates:   You can't just destroy me here! I demand a fair trial!
Picard:   A fair trial? All right. First of all Wilgates, it is illegal to manufacture all those devices by yourselves and put them all on a single ship! It'll affect the others' competitive power.
Wilgates:   Under what law is that?
Picard:   You're in Federation space, under our Prime Directive, back to the days as early as the earth's 20th century!
Wilgates:   It can't be! I have lawyers! It's absolutely legal! I'm simply improving my ship and making it better!
Picard:   But your ship computer's operating system doesn't seem improving at all!
Data:   Sir! (shows Picard the display on his console)
Picard:   (look at Data's console, then smile) Gul Wilgates, just tell me what is it showing on your system's display now?
Wilgates:   It reads ... Illegal Operation ... No! ... No! ... No ...........!

< Scene >: Outer space, 3 vessels starts firing on Gul Wilgates's ship again until it explodes, then the Klingon bird of prey and the Romulan war bird leaves

< Scene >: Main Bridge
Picard:   Well done Mr. Data. And I believe it's time to let you watch my Bridge again, because ... (looks around and smiling) we have a party to attend.
Data:   Aye Sir.
(everyone except Data moving to the turbo lift)

< Scene >: The Enterprise leaves slowly
