How to kill your friends

Sooner or later, the team is going to die. The team can die in many different ways, it can be killed directly by a player. It can be killed directly by the ongoing actions of the players or killed by a random source which really should not have been there. It may comfort players that most teams snuff it because of their own, direct stupidity. This article is about the ways in which a few teams have died as a warning to other teams.

1.TOWHHOYE

Team TOWHHOYE was a Star Fleet Special Forces team which specialist in anti-syndicate operations. Their unit was keen and well organised. They were deep within a plot when they were asked by a secret organisation to help undertake a clandestine attack on a planet. They got to the surface without harm and had successfully knocked out several targets. Toward the end of the last target, they noticed a van leaving an area known to be an ammunition stockpile. There was a brief discussion about what the best course of action was when one player (Fish) said 'Shoot the Generators'. The leader (Dwain), whose turn it was to fire, had the call. Shoot or not. He took the decision and fired. The explosion of the van was not great but it was still very close to the stockpile which exploded, disintergrating the team. It was later discovered that Fish was in fact joking. Fools.

2.The Lollypoppers

The Lollypoppers were a small Syndicate. The specialised in killing people. However, this line of work was a little 'too' violent so they put their skills up as disruptors. On their thrid week, they were given a list of jobs. Without researching each job at all, they chose to Disrupt the 'local head of a company'. The clue is in the wording. They set about making all sorts of plans. They smashed up his Grav car, an extremely expensive Forrester Sports Mk4. They tore up his apartment, an extremely lavish place in the centre of Romar Grand. In the final week, they were approached by two men who were 'obviously Borgs' who they (still on a high) decided to insult and boast. The encounter went past and they continued. Two days later, they were caught by the Star Enforcers and shot in a firefight. Unlucky? No. They had in fact boasted their talents to two Star Enforcer Investigators who were looking into the disruption of the CEO of Kryotek. A little research and some discretion may have stoppped their early demise.
