What’s with the age difference?

You know what I wonder about? It’s these people who keep saying that Trunks & Pan don’t mix because of the age difference.

Now I find age a slightly flimsy excuse for them - or anyone - being a bad couple.

Now I admit, a relationship with a 14 year-old and a 28 year-old is a little far fetched, but it’s not like it hasn’t happened before. It has, trust me, although it may be uncommon. (I know a sixteen year-old who dates a man in his thirties)

Besides, I believe the physical age isn’t so important as mental age. A young person can be very adult, and an adult very naïve. That depends on the person.

And what’s more, who said Trunks and Pan have to be a couple during the Dragonball GT, who says they can’t be a couple later, when Pan is older. That’s really the problem, the fact that Pan is a child, not the age difference itself. Once Pan has grown up a bit, both physically and mentally, I think they’d be a perfect match. (And that’s why I write fanfiction the way I do)

Fourteen years isn’t really that much for adults, although it does count for something. And I know a lot of couples (including in my immediate family) who have that kind of age differences, and bigger.

So that said, if you don’t like Trunks and Pan as a couple, you don’t like them as a couple. Period.

Leave the age out of it.
