Trunks & Pan, why them?

Here’s my little editorial (if you can call it that) on why Trunks and Pan make such a good couple.
Now there are plenty of good, humorous, romantic and interesting sides to their match, and in my opinion that’s exactly that they are: a match.
It’s often said that opposites attract, complete and compliment each other. Now these two are definitely somewhat opposite in character, although there are of course some similarities too, fortunately, because they lessens the clash of the two personalities.
Trunks has (especially Mirai Trunks) a slightly withdrawn and calm nature as an adult, although I wouldn’t go as far as to call him shy. He is obviously very caring though and shows it, at least more than his father. And unlike Vegeta, he seems quite easy to push around by loved ones. His job for example. He obviously hates it, but still stays in it for his mothers sake.
Pan on the other hand is a very lively and colorful person, full of surprise and mischief, and is one HFIL of a tough cookie. And she will NOT allow herself to be pushed around. However, I don’t think she’d completely without self-confidence issues either, concerning her femininity and boys, but that’s a pretty common teenage problem.
In my opinion these two could learn quite a lot from each other, as different as they are, and on the other hand they’re common interest in fighting, friendship and mutual understanding could create a very deep relationship. In other words, as I mentioned before, they complete each other.
Besides, I can hardly think of Trunks with any normal chick. And Pan is hardly normal.
Now to the age difference. Now sure some people think it’s problematic (although far from impossible) and one has to admit it can create some annoying situations while for exp. writing fanfiction , but on the other hand it can also be considered as a merit in magnifying the contrast between characters, and in making things much more interesting.
The harder the fight, the sweeter the victory.
And in the end, what wouldn’t be better than two of the most charismatic characters in the series being together, huh?
