The Lord has located
UPheart
UPhand Ministries
in Michigan.
Michigan consists of the Upper and Lower
Peninsulas.
The Mackinaw bridge joins the two Peninsulas.
The Mackinac Bridge
Linking Michigan's Upper Pennisula and
Lower Pennisula since Nov. 1st 1957.
The "Mighty Mac" as it is
often called is the world's Longest Supension Bridge. 8,344 feet of cable
anchorage to cable anchorage. There were more problems and more obstacles
which were overcome while building the Mackinac Bridge that compared to
any other project. Today the Bridge continues to be safe and remain very
beautiful. There are 33 marine foundations which support the 4 mile long
interrupted steel superstructure. All piers rest on bedrock. the two huge
tower foundations penetrate more than 200 feet below the water and were
also built out of the water with boats, barges, and ships which carried
the men and machines and other needed materials. Back in 1884 till November
1, 1957 it was known as the "Bridge that could never be built". On that
day of November 1, 1957 the Upper and Lower Pennisulas were connected for
good.
