JHE - Very early/rare Apple stuff!
The following is taken from the Macintosh Portable Web
Page at
www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Heights/3959/pict.html.
Hybrid Mac!
Not a portable, but interesting nonetheless...note the large diskette drive,
this image depicts a pre-production mac, before they finalized a decision
about whether to use 3 1/2" or 5 1/4" "Twiggy" drives. If I had a better
scanner, you would be able to see that the on-screen elements like the menubar
and title bars resemble the predecessor, Lisa, rather than the Macintosh we
know today. Note that this picture came from the first widespread Macintosh
ad, a 16 page insert from Newsweek Magazine (circa early 1984).

Thanks to Joseph Liberto for that.
There is a picture of the pre-production/prototype Macintosh keyboard, that
has the printing on each character (especially/only?) for the modifier keys
centered, looking rather different to the standard keyboards.
I shall do a scan of it some day.
In a manual for the Apple //c, there are many pictures of the back of the
computer, showing most of the ports. However I have never seen an Apple //c
with a power socket QUITE like the one pictured!
I shall do a scan of it some day.
There are a couple of other rare Apple items at the page mentioned at the top
of this page (www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Heights/3959/pict.html).
