Tucked away on one of Altrincham's quiet side streets sits Bar Loco a welcome alternative to the many larger brewery owned bars and their carefully packaged atmosphere by numbers formula; Bar loco is proud of its independence.

Opened without the usual expensive fanfare, Bar Loco has attracted its own loyal following simply because it offers something different.

Here you can just kick back and relax, soak up the atmosphere and allow the tranquil vibes to gently soothe your soul.

The Bar covers two floors, downstairs gives entrance to a relaxed and informal dining, drinking area. Wooden floors, distressed tables and open fire along with an elegant upright piano and imaginative decor all help create an environment of calm.

The bar itself is a focal point with its range of draughts beers and lagers as well as a huge range of spirits served in 35ml shots.

Upstairs the feeling of space is more evident and yet still retains that unique homely feel of peace that is Bar Loco's trade mark.

The daytime menu offers a range of snacks from sandwiches and baguettes to more filling dishes of pasta or chilli with good options for vegetarians. In the evening the menu changes to a more tapas style selection perfectly chosen to go with the bars eat while you drink philosophy. And of course there's a great wine list to accompany any meal with a largely new world bias.
