Visitors to Goose Green have always been charmed by this quiet and traditional corner of town with its myriad of shops, cafes and restaurants and it has long been recognised as the focal point of culinary excellence in Altrincham. 

Respected local businessmen Peter and Simon Dawson have recently opened the Colonial Cafe Bar adding their own sense of style to this already popular area.

Located on the sunny-side of the square the cafes Parisian style pavement terrace is just perfect for Al Fresco dining and an ideal spot to while away the hours on a lazy summer's afternoon. 

Inside the cafe, the interior invokes the style and elegance of the luxurious clubs expatriates used to build for themselves in the days of the great empire. Here they could dream of home surrounded by unashamed luxury sipping sundowners under tropical sky's. The cafes deep squabbed hide sofa's, comfortable dining chairs and elegant furnishings perfectly capture the mood of those wonderful far off days.

The genuinely warm hospitality, excellent service and relaxed friendly feel are only part of what make the cafe bar special.

The food is freshly cooked from scratch each day and the menu is displayed on black boards showing the daily selections on offer. The menu takes influences from many cooking styles and fuses them together into the perfect mixture of light snacks or more hearty meals, all backed by a sommelier planned wine list.
