Having
been established for 25 years, the Didsbury Village Restaurant
has long been the cornerstone of the local dining scene and
continually reaches very high standards for both service and
excellent food.
Head
Chef Kerri Dolan takes influences from around the world and
blends them skillfully with old classic idea's to produce a
fabulous menu described as
New English Cuisine.
The
meat dishes in particular are exceptional - a testament to the
restaurants policy of obtaining meat hung the old fashioned way
by a specialist local abattoir.
All
other ingredients are selected fresh each day and bought direct
from the market to your table.
At
weekends the house speciality is seafood dishes with choices of
Lobster, Monkfish and Doversole amongst the many favourites.
The vegetarian
options are good also with several well chosen starters and main
course to choose from.
With
good food must come good wine and the Village Restaurant has a
wine list of unbelievable quality with over 200 different
bottles on offer including the quite outstanding Cellar
Collection for wine connoisseurs.
The
dining areas on two floors are spacious and the overall feel is
of relaxed comfort. Friendly attentive staff help to keep the
atmosphere informal yet very welcoming.
