A malignant tumor of the retina, a thin membrane on the back of the eye
that works like a camera, taking pictures of what you see.
Patients may be born with the disease, but it is rarely diagnosed at birth.
The tumor may involve one or both eyes.
TREATMENT:
radiotherapy to preserve vision
photocoagulation to preserve vision
cryotherapy to preserve vision
brachytherapy to preserve vision
enucleation
palliative radiotherapy for extraocular disease
