week 5
andrew's greatest event last week was his baby blessing. many friends and family members came from far away to participate in the special moment. aaron and corey rhoades, jared and alexandra robertson and their extended family, and others attended and participated in the blessing. there was a fun reception held at kelly and roy's place thereafter. andrew's little face got rashed up this week. we suspect that it is baby acne that he has. it will be there for a few days. also, andrew loves his daily bath. he has started to do a cute "frog thing", where he pushes against the side of the sink with his two legs giving the impression of jumping like a frog. this weeks picture was taken 8 hours exactly before he was 5 weeks old, looking back carried by his mom.
week 6
during this last week, andrew experienced his first road trip! he left for california with tara and kelly in the back seat of our comfortable honda. from a report of his mother, he was a good boy for the 12 hours it took to get to grammy's and also for the 12 hours it took to come home. he met simone and stephen, his aunt shari, maris, his aunt becky and experienced the sun (oops... t'was raining that week-end) of the great state of california. he took a long walk with tara and becky to the beach and from what we deduct, he loved it. also, andrew's baby acne mostly went away during this week... he's back to beautiful baby skin. even though all these events seem great... we remind our audience that yannick missed him very much while he was away.
week 7
the most important event of this last week is definitely the smiling and the cooing that andrew has started to do.. along with this, he has developped this adorable way of sneezing like an adult: "a long aaaaaah before the chum. andrew is very funny when we put him on his belly for his neck exercises. he pecks at whatever is in front of him while cooing and singing.
week 8
we have been so impressed this last week. andrew has made so much progress. he is kicking and moving his arms and legs all around. he is discovering the miracle of burning energy. also, for the first time, he has spent the whole night asleep. what a good boy. the hair that had fallen on his forehead seems to be growing back. we are not quite sure yet what the color of his eyes will be. they are still a greyish-blue under the sun and greenish when inside. he still cooes like crazy! mama has started to read him stories, and even though he does not understand what is being read to him, he is so impressively aware of what's going on. he will be two months old on friday.
