Diana arrived a few minutes later, looking pale.
Jon and I introduced her to everybody. She took a seat next to me.
“Are you ok?” I asked.
“Yeah. I think I’ve got a touch of the flu. That’s
all. I’ll be fine.
“Don’t you think you should go home.”
“No. I’ll be fine.”
But she wasn’t fine. In a few minutes Jon
noticed it too. “Are you all right?” he asked.
“I’m fine…” Diana began, but I interrupted.
“Jon, Diana isn’t feeling well at all. I think you
should take her home.” He nodded.
I turned to Diana, “I want you to spend the night
up here. I don’t think you should make that long ride back to your
place.” Diana nodded. She was looking paler every minute.
Jon helped her with her coat. “It’s been great,”
he said. Then he turned to me, "See you at home.”
