Maldives achieves the ?GOLDEN GLOBO AWARD? for the destination with the most beautiful beaches

The Maldives has been chosen to receive the ?GOLDEN GLOBO AWARD? for the destination with the most beautiful beaches in a travel survey conducted among the readers of the Globo Magazine, Germany.  This award will be presented to Maldives during the ITB Fair to be held in Berlin, Germany, on 6 March 1999 at the Bar jeder Vernunft in Berlin. 

The Maldives was chosen as the destination with the most beautiful beaches by acquiring the support of 7.7% of the readers of Globo Magazine, followed by Florida (7.3%), Hawaii (6.6%), North Thailand (6%) and Seychelles (5.7%).  

Globo Magazine is a famous travel magazine that is circulated in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and is widely read by high-class consumers in the region.
