Guru is the eldest Namek, and creator of the Namek Dragon Balls. He can psychically awaken hidden powers, as he did with Gohan and Krillin, and granted Dende the power to heal. Guru was killed by Frieza, which made the Namek Dragon disappear, and the Dragon Balls turn to stone.
