DES, Blowfish, GOST, Triple DES, PGP, RSA ......  If these mean anything to you, you have at least heard of some of the most well known Encryption algorithms on the planet.  Many of these encryption schemes are considered to be "munitions" under federal law, so if you get a program that uses one of the above encryptions, don't export it or yer screwed.  Others will follow when they are found.
