Sites of merit that don't really belong in another of the listed categories.
eMedicine Excellent, very professional and well put together. Not necessarily nursing oriented, but encompasses all health care professions. This site provides free online medical textbooks, divided by category. Really amazing site!
World Wide Wounds  Some excellent articles on various topics of wound management.
AAMN (American Assembly for Men in Nursing) Because much of nursing resource content is still primarily geared toward women, I felt it important to include access to this site. Provides an issue forum and contact information.
RxList Incredible site! For content and usability, I give this one a 10. Search for information on drugs and herbs. Information is extensive. Can even search for drug identification by the imprint code. Also lists the top 200 prescription drugs, and provides discussion boards.
National Institute of Nursing Research An excellent site, very professional. Not just a promo of an organization, but full of valuable information. Click on news and information, and then publications, for some great articles and reports. The report on nursing informatics is outstanding.
Choice in Dying An organization dedicated to raising awareness and fostering communication about end-of-life care. Included here for good information on the backround of end-of-life issues, a newsletter of pertinent articles, and information on legal developments.
MedicineNet.com Wow! Professional, well-organized, great content. Current health news, doctors’ views, updates, online medical dictionary, information on drugs, tests and procedures, diseases and conditions.
