ME, A LOOK AT MY LIFE AND INTERESTS IN SOME DEPTH

Hi, my name is Matt and im a 23 year old male, currently residing in the UK. I am 6' 3" tall and have brown hair. My vital statistics are, well private to me and if you are interested in them well you can ask me on V-Chat, if u can find me.....

My interests are mainly Rollerblading, Skateboarding, Skiing, Abseiling, Climbing and Computers (as if you hadnt guessed). This is my first attempt at a Web Site, and as far as I can see its a pretty good first attempt. I have been using and abusing computers for nearly 13 years and have seen my way through from the old Spectrum 48k to the humble Pc I now use.

I am the sort of person who believes information should be free to all (A Freedom of Information act for the world should exist) and soft drugs such as marijuana, should be legalised in all countries. I dont smoke much grass, nowadays, but i got into that culture when i was younger and if its going around, I can usually be found smoking it.

On my early surfing journies, I was introduced into Hacking and Phreaking. This subject is a heated one, with people from different sides of the line, supporting different views. I personally, with regards to the act of hacking, dont think hacking should be a crime, as long as the person perpetrating it is not deliberately damaging anything or causing the people who own the system/webpage any problems (trashing files etc..). Phreaking, is certainly a different matter, in most countries in the world, eg. USA, Canada, phone calls to the internet are in the form of a set value, which is generally charged monthly. Over in the UK its a whole different kettle of fish. Any person wishing to connect to the internet in the UK, is charged for the call at a set rate (depending on the time of day) and bills can run into a $100's over a month quite easily. This is usually why people phreak the phone system over here. If the phone companies introduced a set rate per month, as in other countries, less people would deliberately phreak it (they must be stoopid).

I am interested in most kinds of music, but have a liking to hip-hop and dance. My favourite groups are the Fugees, and Sash, well at the minute anyway. I regularly surf the net looking for Mp3z and Realmedia files (south park vids usually) and if i find ones I like, then they get added to my collection. But as I surf, I continually find good sites and im prepared to add URL's to this site. So if you have such a site, email me the link and ill add it to the corresponding page.

I occaisionally read books, mostly detective books and business journals/magazines (Computer related). I mostly like "The Hardy Boys" detective books, but have been known to read non-fiction books on the "unexplained and UFOs".

Well thats all for now, and u can see better were im coming from. I may update this one day, but for now its good enough for me.
