I eventually get to the point. This tip will allow you (hopefully) to access the nightmare difficulty level in Quake. First of all, after starting a new game, pick any door. As soon as you go through the door, turn right and enter the hallway leading to the Elder Worlds. There is a pool at the end of the hallway which you have to fall in. As soon as you fall, turn around and swim just under the overhang. If you drop in *just* the right place, you should fall onto a platform. BTW, this took me a while, so be patient! :) Following this platform will lead you to a doorway which will in turn lead you to the nightmare doorway. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submitted by: SM (tj.combo@tassie.net.au) At the console write in SV_GRAVITY and then any number for a increase or decrease in gravity!!!!! In other words, instead of having to go to the console and typing in the cheat codes, you will be able to press just one key and it will activate the cheat. ex. pressing "g" will access god mode. To do this, use any text editor, and go into the config.cfg file for Quake. In there, type " (open parentheses), the type bind, then space, and type the key you want to "bind" it to. Close parentheses. Space then open parentheses, type the command you would normally type at the console. ex. god. Then close parenthese. Ex.
