Easter Egg Hunt and Party

As Jila walks into the Ballroom she wonders how many of her friends will be attending. Hopefully this will prove to be another interesting party. She puts the box she is carrying on the floor and walks around the room to plug in the Christmas lights that were never taken down. Then out of the box comes a stack of cardboard bunnies and some colorful plastic eggs to be placed around the room.

She pulls out a paper table, places it on the table and brings from the kitchen a variety of serving bowls and plates. Bags and bags of munchie things go into half of the bowls and different types of chocolate goodies go in the other half. She leaves a couple of empty plates on the table for Viridian's chocolate bunnies and marshmallow peeps.

Tidying up the bar, Jila sees a piece of paper tucked just out of the way on the first shelf. She pulls it out and starts to read it. "Hmmmmmm, Punch of ..... what." She turns the card and checks both sides "I can't tell. Somebody must have gotten really sloppy with there bartending, the name is smudgy." Reading the ingedients she thinks *Well it doesn't sound all that hard to make and we have all the ingredients. Sounds good. What the heck!" Grabbing a large punchbowl from the table Jila starts pouring the ingredients together.

Just as she puts the punchbowl back on the table she sees Ragnar come in dressed for the occasion. She chuckles as she notices that he is dressed exactly like Sherlock Holmes.

"Oh very nice." Jila compliments the big Viking. "But isn't that a little uncomfortable over your usual chainmail?"

"I left it on the Longboat tonight just for this occasion." he bows deeply at the waist, then sits in the big comfy chair and starts studying some papers.

"What have you got there?"

"Maps of the Mansion. It always help to be prepared." Ragnar answered in a scholarly manner.

As the Ballroom gang came through the door each was greeted with a big hug from Jila. "I'm so glad you could make it." she said as she offered each a bunny pin. (I was going to offer bunny ears but I wasn't sure you'd wear them. There's a bunch in the box by the bar though).

"Okay everybody," Jila said to get everyones attention. "Before we get to the actual party portion of the evening there are some Easter Eggs that are just die-ing (dying, dye-ing?) to be found. This Easter Egg Hunt is going to be in the style of the old Scooby-Doo mysteries. I'll give you a clue and when you've figured that clue out, go on to the proper room.

Here's what you need to do.

Follow the clues as you find them. Please don't just go from here to the other end looking. That would take away all the fun and all of my fun. Remember, I worked really hard on these even if some of the rhymes bite.

When you find a clue, post a reply saying you found it and tell me how good or bad the clues are.

When you've found all of the clues (and there are only 10) come back here and we'll start the Party.

Ready? Here's your first clue.

JilaCosa -- Hang on! Here are the baskets!

I hope you don't mind Viridian but I didn't read this before I posted and I liked it so much I thought it should be added to the story.

Viridan comes racing into the ballroom pulling a little red wagon. It is piled high with Easter baskets. She wipes the perspiration (otherwise known as sweat-- but we are trying to be ladylike) off her brow. "Sorry I'm late everyone. Somebody's husband was using the computer..." She sets the baskets down onto the floor. Please observe the lovely set of rabbit ears she is wearing that match her pink dress. "Help yourself. There are chocolate bunnies in each-- I figure we can eat them if we need the energy, oh-- here are the Peeps for Spryal. Oh yeah, I almost forgot." Viridian runs over to the bar and retrieves the shopping bags of egg cartons she had hidden there. "Here's my surprise!" She opens a carton to reveal brightly colored eggs. She takes one out. Every egg has been cleaned out, colored, filled with confetti and sealed with a little piece of tissue paper. "When I was down visiting my darling Texans last year," she explains, "I discovered these. They're called cascarones,(I hope I got the spelling right) they're Mexican and this is what you do with them!" she cracks one over Ragnar's head. Confetti flies everywhere! "Happy egg hunting everyone!"

"Cool, Mouse," she says, "are you eating chocolate these days? Would you like a bunny?"

Viridian sits on the floor and arranges the Peeps in a triangular formation. She looks up to see Spyral. "Hi there," she says, "how are you feeling?" She rolls a hard boiled egg toward the Peeps and knocks some over. "Check this out," she anounces, "bowling for Peeps!"

The angel watches as she bowls a strike, sending the little peeps tumbling this way and that. He scoops one up and starts to lightly munch.

Still a litle sore, but I am eating now, just have to watch what I eat. Peeps are just about perfect though, verrrrrryyyyyyy soft! And they are my favorite Easter candy too.

JilaCosa -- Freshen anyone’s drink?

"Sorry about the Marathon run people but I see everybody enjoyed themselves. There's punch on the table, it's a recipe I found under the bar, and this nifty Replicator that Zee left. Anybody need anything? I guess we need some music too. Any preferences or should I just start poking buttons on the jukebox? Are you comfy Mouse? Would you like an extra pillow?"
