I'll Be Dog-Gone
I'll Be Dog-Gone (4)

RagnarRB -- Oh in that case...yes

"Yes is the word you think of first?" Rae asked incredulously.

"No." Ragnar replied.

"But..."

"No not that word either." Ragnar sighed...."Are you sure you don't need to relax? You're looking a bit strained and tense there young lady."

Rae looked at him. Ragnar shook his head. "Yes to coffee dear." he offered.

"You're, you're...."

Ragnar accepted his coffee and took a sip."The word you are looking for is Long."

"Huh?"

"Long...as in LONG boat." Ragnar looked at his watch. Turning he picked up Mouse's gift and headed towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Rae hastilly inquired. She hadn't gotten anywhere yet.

Ragnar hefted the sextant. "New toy. I want to see how well it works. Besides what better time then when 6th isn't here to....well what better time."

With that he opened the door and stepped... Ooofff!!!...and tripped over Artickat, kitten, and Jila who were apparently listening at the door. Down he went.

Thump...his nose hitting a boot. If it wasn't boken he'd at least have a shiner.

"Oh I'm so sorry..."6th began wondering herself where all this bad karma was coming from.

Ragnar just lay at her feet. He knew that voice. His nose began to bleed...

Kaybe0 -- As the mayhem continued

on the boat, Kay went to help Mouse with the dogs, and then suggested they start dinner for everyone. That should help calm things down a bit. And everyone feels better with a full tummy. In the galley, they find the neccesary items and start preparing a feast fit for a scooby gang. By the time they had it completed and the tables set, Everyone smelling the food cooking, was more than ready to eat.

(sorry. not much time to post lately. any suggestions as to what it is we fixed and what we are eating? lol. )

KaraS -- Rewinding a little

Ragnar was in his room, sulking. Rae was in Ragnar's room trying to unsulk him. Kara, Jila, Viridian, Sweetiepie and Lurkingghost were in the map room, trying to put the maps back together.

"Wow Lurkingghost! Your spell allowed us to sort which scraps go with which map! That is incredibly helpful!" Kara said.

Now that the scraps were sorted, they still had to be put back together. That job was almost, but not quite, as hard as sorting the scraps had been. And it took a lot of scotch tape. Fortunately, Viridian had roles and roles of the stuff in the pockets of her smock.

"Well, this one is finished." Jila finally declared holding up the map, more tape than anything else, for all to see. "It's not pretty, but we should be able to navigate with it."

Drumheller entered the room.

"I fixed the mast." he said.

"How did you do that?" Kara asked.

"With a spell." he said. "It joins things that were once together back again."

"Will it work with map scraps?" Kara asked.

"I don't see why not." Drum replied.

One spell later and all the maps were back to their original pristine state.

"This'll make the Viking happy." Sweetiepie said.

Just then there was a cry from Spyral and then Sixth and Artist were back on board. Everyone went out to see them.

"Artist! Sixth! You're back. And you're still toons. Why didn't the spell wear off of you?"

"It did." Sixth explained. "Artist recast it when we stole the plane so if we crashed into the ocean we'd survive. Now let's get out of here before Jojo Mojo steals the dogs."

"Who?" Kara asked.

Sixth ran into the longboat's cabin and headed the boat out to sea.

"It's too bad we couldn't find homes for any of the dogs there." Sixth sighed.

"I talked to Bugs about that." Kara said. "He said that real dogs couldn't live there. It wouldn't be safe for them there."

"What a shame." Artist said. "Well Sixth, the toon spell should be wearing off again soon."

"Before it does..." Kara said as she grabbed ArtistStudio by the ears. She gave him a BIG kiss on the lips.

All of Artist's hair stood on end like he had stuck his finger in a socket. His eyes lit up and shot little sparks. He vibrated in place and there was an explosion inside his head. He shot up like a rocket with a trail of smoke, zoomed back and forth across the sky, and floated back down swaying back and forth like a leaf with a blissed out expression on his face. Then he and Sixth turned human again.

"I always wanted to do that." Kara said with a grin.

Just then Ragnar's door started to open. Sixth rushed over just in time for Ragnar to trip and fall at her feet.

"Dinner's ready. Come and get it." Kaybee called from the galley.

We now continue our regularly scheduled story.

artickat -- Mmmm...

The smell of Barbecue hits the Scooby Gang in waves..."Ummmm...I think it's time to eat!" Drum says, clears his throat, starts backing up slowly turns and begins to run towards the galley. The others follow suit while Ragnar sits on the deck as Jila cleans him up and checks out the damage.

Jila turns his head this way and that "Doesn't look to bad…but you will have a nice pair of shiners"

Ragnar grumbles and gets to his feet "Better get down to the galley before the feeding frenzy begins!"

As they walk into the galley Artic calls out "We saved you guys a spot!" As they take their seats at the table Mouse and Kabe0 drop food-laden plates in front of them.

Ragnar begins to dig in when out of the corner of his eye he sees a movement...there is kitten…wrestling with a giant barbecue rib...she leans forward and tries to take a bite but the rib moves...grrrrr! kitten jumps on one end of the rib <WACK> she is hit on the head with the other end of the rib *meow!* grrr! Slowly she begins to circle the rib waiting for just the right moment to attack...wiggling her butt she waits <POUNCE> kitten lands on top of the rib. It begins to rock back and forth as she happily digs in <munch> <munch> barbecue sauce smeared all over her...from the tips of her whiskers to the tip of her tail. Ragnar just shakes his head and rolls his eyes.

Raven-Kat -- “Hold still”

Rae orders Ragnar as the others go up the stairs. "Your nose is still bleeding. I can fix it."

Ragnar patiently waits as Rae works her magic.

"You know," Rae says, handing him a rag to wipe the blood off of his face. "'Long' is really a VERY interesting answer... If I were of a Freudian persuasion..."

Chryse74 -- As everyone’s hunger was

satisfied, the Scoobies began to talk to each other about their various adventures in Cartoon land.

"Too bad we won't be able to go back there anytime soon," sighed Chryse. "I was really looking forward to searching out all the cartoon characters I loved."

"Well, it's just as well, you a wanted criminal there. Whatever possessed you to assault Yosemite Sam?" asked Jila.

"oh, come on, I just tied him up. And he deserved it for shooting at Ragnar." replied Chryse.

"Well, where do we go next?" asked Spyral.

"Hmm, good question. It seems that the Trading Post has a pretty good communications system around here. Everyone'll be on the lookout for us." said Rae.

"yeah, we'll need a plan so we get around the river without being recognized and arrested." said Drum.

Everyone turned to look at Artist and 6th. And they weren't focusing on the food or the conversation at that particular moment.

"Hey, what are y'all staring at?" asked 6th. When she finally realized that everyone in the galley was looking at her and Artist.

"Well, ah, 6th, Artist, you guys are the resident experts at getting around without being noticed. We thought that maybe you had some suggestions on how we can travel without being arrested for the fiasco at the trading post. You guys got any ideas?" explained Kaybe.

ArtistStudio -- “Well, disguising a 1500 foot longboat

would take so much power it would be counter productive - I think I can get the help I need to do it..." Artist wraps an arm around Kara and grins. "But prolonged exposure with a phantasm of that power would degrade the boat and actually make it easily detectible to someone searching for magical power sources."

"Also, cartoonland is all about illusion - many of the places we are going to aren't and my spells will be less effective there. I can help get us out of tight spots - but a prolonged illusion like turning us into toons really only works where everything is illusion. There aren't any easy answers to this one."

Artist rests his chin on Kara's head, murmers a cantrip which creates the subtlest ripple across her clothing - Kara shivers and snuggles back into him.

6th pours a couple of glasses of the Punch of Doom. "What we need is a launch," she says. "Since we can't disguise the longboat - at least not for very long periods of time - we need to be able to leave it out in the deep water and go in small groups." She hands Kara a glass of POD - and the dweomer rippling across Kara leaps from her hand to 6th's, travelling rapidly across her. 6th raises her glass, winks at Artist and drains it slowly.

"Well," says Drumheller, "I could power one of the lifeboats - both of them, actaully." He makes a note to ask Artist about that cantrip.

Rae rests a hand on his shoulder. "Nice little dweommer there - now why did we never think to use our abilities that way? It will be awhile before our next landfall - think we have some studying to do... purely acedemic," sha adds as he gives her a strange look.

artickat -- Just then....

The gang heard a loud noise, they looked at each other for a second before jumping to their feet and running upstairs to see what it was. "What the Hazmana?!" The gang cries out as they drop to the deck while a plane makes another LOW pass over the longboat.

"Is it coming back?" Mouse mumbles from her spot on the deck.

"Doesn't look like it..." Rae grumbles.

"Whoever they are...seems like they are gone" Jila answers just as the gang is covered with fliers.

Drum grabs a flyer and reads it. "What does it say?" Ragnar asks.

"Ummmm...you're not going to like this..." Drum avoids making eye contact with Ragnar.

Ragnar frowns and grabs the flyer out of Drum's hand "What could possibly..." The Gang watches as Ragnar turns a bright RED.

"Man...if Ragnar was still a cartoon his head would pop off!" Artic whispers to kitten.

"Meow" kitten agrees getting a little bit closer to Artic.

"What is it?! What does it say?" 6th and Artist say as one.

"Well???" Kara can't stand it anymore "What does it say?"

"You want to know what it says? Do you?!!!" Ragnar turns to the gang "I'll tell you what it says...IT SAYS THAT I'M NOT ONLY WANTED FOR DAMAGES TO THE TRADING POST BUT ALSO FOR KIDNAPPING! WHICH ONE OF YOU KIDNAPPED SOMEONE?!!!"

The gang all look at each other in surprise "BUT WE DIDN'T KIDNAP ANYONE!!!" they answered as one...

KaraS -- “Uh”  Kara said

"What ever happened to that mechanic?"

Everybody looked around at everybody else.

"Uh oh!"

RagnarRB -- Just about then

the mechanic stumbled up from the engine room. "I think I found your problem Capitan."

All heads turned.

"Dog biscuts sir." He said holding up the offending article. "I've been finding bits and pieces of them all thru the engine works. Wonder this tub can still go anywhere at all."

Ragnar's eyes narrowed as he looked back at 6th. He didn't say anything. Turning to Kara.

"It's not the mechanic Kara. I paid for him. As long as I get him back in the allotted time he's good...."

Sixth Sense Dreamer -- 6th stood...

6th, blushing about the dogs and their treats in the engine room (What was she supposed to do? Sit down there and guard them the whole frelling trip?) cleared her throat and changed the subject hurriedly "Uh gang, before we figure out who kidnapped who, I need to show you something and ask you something." she pulled out a map out of her pocket. A not ripped to shreads and taped back together map.

"Where'd you get that?" Ragnar asked, pulling it from her hands. It was the main map of their world, the one he found himself using the most of all of them.

"I just kept it with me. I've been studying it." 6th shrugged. Then she tapped the map Ragnar was holding up to the light *Tape, there's got to be tape on here somewhere!* Ragnar was thinking, examining the surface of the map. "Um, if I could just...see that for a moment..." 6th said tugging lightly on the map's corner. Ragnar eyed her, then laid the map out on the table in front of them both. The rest of the gang leaned in towards 6th as she pointed to different spots on the map.

"Here we are." She pointed, and Ragnar was going to correct her when he realized he didn't need to. She must have really been studying, because nothing was harder to read than a map of Cyberspace. "And here's cartoon land just to the right of us. Now here's where I need your input. See, we have four choices: One, we go here" she pointed "to Sci-fi/Fantasy land. They are two islands that have merged, so the characters roam freely about both lands. Problem is that there are some pretty nasty critters roaming around in Sci-fi land and Fantasy land. Like the aliens from 'Aliens'? So we'd have to be on our guard if we went there. Or two, we could go here" she pointed again "to kid land." she eyed the group, waiting for their reaction.

"Kid land?" Rae asked, "you mean like Sesame Street?"

Ragnar opened his mouth to elaborate, but heard 6th talking before he could begin, "Yes. and Teletubbies. And Blue's Clues. And Little Bear. And Barney." She looked at the grimaces on their faces. "I'm only suggesting options here. Not orders. Ok, three, we could stay here more, and send out launches back to Cartoon land. I mean, we were hardly there before we had to go, and it's a big enough place that we could explore some more. There's still Anime...and Disney...a lot of Cartoon Network's stuff...But there's always the risk that we'd get caught. Bugs would probably let us off the hook if we did. Right Ragnar? He's your old friend anyway..." Ragnar nodded, practically unable to speak. When had she had the time to learn all of this information?

"But staying at Cartoon Land wouldn't be helping much in finding the dogs a home...not that there's a big rush to do so. I want you guys to all have fun on this trip, and if you say stay, I'm fine. I don't care one way or the other where we go. And four, we could just skip all three ideas, pull up anchor and sail for the next port which would be..." she traced her finger across the map and stopped on a very big island. "Action/Adventure land. Car chases, explosions, skin of your teeth excitement every minute. It could get dangerous there, but good for the adventuresome. Now that's our four choices. But there's one other thing." She pulled Mojo Jojo's plans out of her pocket. "We have this monkey on our tail who wants the dogs. Apparently, he wants to build some kind of machine which will enable him to rule the world, but he needs my dogs, our dogs," She looked at Mouse and Kaybe0 "to build it, or run it or something. He's on his way by now to our location, in his submarine. He's going to try asking for the dogs. Then I don't know what he'll do until he gets them. If we stay here, we'll have to deal with him most likely trying to sneak aboard." she shrugged. "That's all I had to say, folks...Unless you need to add anything in?" she looked at the viking, who was still puzzling over 6th's sudden knowledge of his maps and the lands around them. Had she been reading his books? The gang all began to discuss their choices and Ragnar felt a sudden need to speak with his neighborhood secret agent.

"Uh 6th?" he began, when there was a rapping at the hull.

"Hello up there!" a voice familiar to 6th and Artist rang through the air.

"It's him! It's that evil monkey!" 6th hissed, and the gang all got up and ran up to the deck, peering over the railings at Mojo Jojo standing on the top of his surfaced submarine, wearing a fake mustache and a hat.

"Um..." said Rae, trying not to laugh at the pathetic disguise.

"I heard you had some dogs you were trying to find homes for!" the monkey yelled up to them. "I have a great big home, which the dogs could come and stay at!"

"Really..." Ragnar said slowly, a smile creeping onto his face. Then to 6th's astonishment, he asked "How much would you be willing to pay for them?"

Mouse2000 -- Mouse pulls on Ragnar’s arm

and reminds him in a forceful whisper," Not ALL the dogs are going, Viking. Make SURE you keep that in mind! And remember what 6th said about this guy? If you just want to mess with her mind for a little bit, that's fine, but NO ONE takes my Juno and Kaybe's Honey away. Got it? NO ONE!"

Sweetiepie Parrot -- A monkey on their backs!

Sweetiepie flew over to the railing and looked down at the monkey standing on his submarine.

"What do you want with the dogs bananna breath?" he said.

"I'll give the dogs a good home." the monkey said. "And I will pay much money for them."

"Yeah, how much?"

"Much money." Mojo Jojo said.

"Why don't you come up here and discuss it." Sweetiepie said.

"I don't want that monkey on my boat." Ragnar stated.

"Relax chief." Sweetiepie said. "I've got a plan."

Sweetiepie flitted over to ArtistStudio's shoulder and whispered something in his ear. Artist nodded and faded to invisibility. Sweetiepie flew back to the railing as the monkey clambered aboard.

"Now you're sure you can take care of the dogs?" KaraS said. "They can be a little... rambunctious."

"Yeah, let's give this a test drive." Sweetiepie said. "Sixth, why don't you take our guest down to the hold and "introduce" him to the puppies."

"I don't know if that's a good idea." Sixth said.

"Just do it Sixth." Sweetiepie whispered urgently.

"Ok," Sixth said. "Come right this way."

The monkey followed her down the steps. There was the sound of a door opening and Sixth speaking sternly to the dogs. Then there was frenzied barking and the sound of a monkey screaming. There was a slam as somebody invisible shut and locked the door. Barking and screaming continued to come from the hold.

""I wonder if a cartoon submarine would come in handy." Mouse mused.

Raven-Kat -- As the group waits,

Rae says, "Hey, I've got it!" She jumps up and runs down to her room.

"What do you have?" Mouse asks, following curiously.

"I know how to help Ragnar relax!" Rae announces happily, rifling through her bag.

"This ought to be good." Mouse says, watching.

Rae nods impatiently and leans into the bag. "No... no... where the-"

"Don't fall in." Mouse warns because it looks as though Rae might do just that.

"Got it!" Rae announces coming back up with an armful of

"Bubble wrap?" Mouse asks.

"Yeah!" Rae nods enthusiasticly. "It ALWAYS works when I'm stressed out."

Mouse sighs as Rae runs up onto deck. "What about the rest of us?" she whispers.

"Here, Ragnar, try this!" Rae says, handing him half the bubble wrap. She tucks the other half into a pocket, then says, "I'm going to go check on our... ah, guest."

RagnarRB -- Gee.....thanks Rae

"...but cann't we, just like, let him have one of the dogs? I'll help toss it...I mean carry it over the side."

Ragnar popped the little bubbles as he forlornly looked at the ladies.

He had much nicer thoughts in the Dominion, that's why he liked it there. Out here, this close to realty the more cutthroat side of his nature started to shine thru. He'd have to keep that in mind for the ladies sake, but gee wiz, they hadn't dumped a single dog yet!

*I like puppies...Ragnar quietly mumbled in his mind, trying to convince himself of it.

"Sides what could a monkey really do with a bunch of dogs, and in Toon land to boot!"

Drumheller -- “Hey gang, I got an idea.”

"Ragnar, is there a 'Disney Land' or anything like that?"
Drumheller said looking for the maps.

"I think so. Why?" Ragnar replied.

"Well, that would be a perfect place to unload some of the
dogs. Wouldn't it?" Drum said. "In Disney movies, there is
always a happy ending right?"

"Well, I guess..." Ragnar thought about it for a minute.
"Except for 'Old Yeller' that is."

"Shhh, not so loud! Don't remind Sixth of THAT one." Drum
said with a cringe.

"Right, good idea Drum. Give me a hand changing course."
Ragnar said finding the right island on the map.

Ragnar and Drumheller ran to the control room, and began to
make the preperations to change course. Kara walked in after
them.

"What's going on guys?" she asked.

"We're heading to Disney land." Ragnar replied. "Would you
let everybody know?"

"Wahoo! Disney land sounds like fun!" Kara said jumping up
and down like a school girl. "Sure, I'll go tell everybody
the news!"

Viridian -- Viridian and Jila leaned on the railing

enjoying the fresh breeze as the long boat picked up speed.
"So Disney land sounds like it would be a great place for the dogs," Viridian mused,"I've never been there, but heck, I seen enough of it on TV."

"Just think," Jila said, "Maybe the dogs could live with the 101 Dalmatians." Both womem smiled at that thought. "We just need to keep them away from Cruella De Ville," Jila added.

The sounds of the screaming monkey had faded and a peaceful and RARE silence settled in.

After a while, Jila stirred. "Hey Vi, you still have those raspberries?"

"Hmm, yeah- we have to use them up."

"Let's make raspberry shortcake."

Viridian's eyes lit up at the suggestion. "Genius! Let's do it!" The two headed to the galley.

ArtistStudio -- Dolphins

Artist leans against the bow watching dolphins leaping through the waves. 6th and Kara on either side of him, their arms laced about his waist.

"They really needed this exercise. You know they must be loving it," Kara says. "They're so beautiful."

6th sighs, watching the dolphins intently - one after another leaping through the water - playing around the bow of the boat - easily keeping pace with the boat. "And they're keeping out of trouble for the moment. You sure they won't just swim off?"

"They'll be worn out soon - enjoy the moment, dear," Artist says, laying 6th's head against his shoulder. The dolphins play on for a few more minutes - the other Scoobs gather to watch.

"Well, they don't know it yet, but that's probably about all they can take," Artist says. Kara and 6th lower one of the life boats close to the water and the dolphins leap into the life boat. They lay exhausted in the lifeboat as Kara and 6th - with the help of curious Scoobs lift the life boat back up to the deck - the dolphins leap out of the boat onto the deck, becoming dogs and shake themselves vigerously.

Though they had thought themselves dolphins, they had been dogs all along and were exhausted from their swim. They pace about a little then lay tiredly on the deck. Artist, drained by his efforts, sags against the bow.

6th whispers something to Kara, then leads the dogs below to the hold. "Come on, Artist, you need your beauty rest," Kara says, taking his arm and leading him below.

Kaybe0 -- Stroking the head of Honey

and Juno, and the other puppies and dogs in turn, Kay, thinks to herself that Drum's idea of Disney land is the best bet. The dogs should get great homes there. But, in her heart, she secretly wished that 6th would keep her dogs. Yes, they did seem a little much at times, but, they were dogs. And, therefore, very special to Kay. And, that monkey had better stay away from these dogs for good. She knew that no one on the ship would let him take them. Well, maybe Rag. But, no, she had more faith in her friend than that. Still, he was acting awfully jumpy on this trip. Maybe if he came and relaxed and played with the puppies for awhile. Chuckling to herself at the thought, Kaybe went upstairs to join in the discussion of their new destination. Sitting next to Chryse and Mouse, they start discussing their favorite Disney characters, and all the great ones with dogs in them.

Chryse74 -- Yeah, Disney would be a great place!

"I always liked Disney. I'll bet if we could find Lady and the Tramp's family and the family that has the 101 Dalmatian, they could help us find homes for 6th's dogs." says chryse.

"I'm sure Mickey and Minnie Mouse would help too, they love dogs too." says Mouse.

"And don't forget Goofy, he *is* a dog." laughs Kaybe.

Viridian -- The scent of fresh baked shortcake

floated by the Scoobys. Jila and Viridian appeared with a bowl of raspberry shortcake topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. They found Ragnar in the control room mulling over the carefully repaired maps. "Ragnar," Jila said.

He looked up and started to say something, but as he opened his mouth, Viridian shoved a spoonful of shortcake in his mouth. "Amurrrrph? Mwaaa wwisss?"

Jila set the bowl down in front of him. "Here Rag, eat
this," Vi said, "you'll feel a lot better."

Raven-Kat -- POP....POP....POP

Rae sits atop the mast staring despondently off into the sun-set and popping her bubble-wrap.

POP... POP... POP... POP

Sweetie-Pie flies up to join her.

"I can't believe they're doing this to me." Rae mutters. POP!

"Doing what?" Sweetie-Pie asks.

"DISNEY land, Sweetie!" Rae groans. "Land of musicals and happy endings and revisionist history and..." Rae trails off. "I can't do it. I can't even sit through a disney movie, how am I supposed to endure gods know how long in their world? I can't do it."

"Well, you could stay on the boat."

"Yeah." Rae brightens. "I can, can't I?"

"Sure."

"Thanks, bird-brain." Rae hugs Sweetie who, as usual, begins screaming at her.

"Hey, what're you doing to my bird?" Kara calls up.

"Nothing." Rae says innocently, letting Sweetie go. "Thanks, Sweetie." Rae climbs down the mast and goes to visit Ragnar to let him know she won't be coming ashore. On her way past the galley, she grabs a plate-full of short-cake, secure in the knowledge that cholesterol can kill.

Sixth Sense Dreamer  -- 6th sat on the deck....

Thor asleep with his head in her lap. She scraped her finger into her practically empty bowl, licking Rasberry shortcake off of her finger as she mulled thoughts over in her mind.

*Disneyland, huh?* she thought, *Surprising, but not bad. Disney's fun.* She had noticed Rae up in the mast, and could tell she wasn't happy with the choice. But 6th watched as Rae had talked with Sweetiepie, climbed down and went to tell Ragnar that she would stay on the boat. So Rae would be happy. *That's good* 6th thought. She didn't expect to find a home for the dogs here, but they weren't on a schedule, and she wanted them all to enjoy themselves. She'd have to see about locating some interesting company to send back to the boat to entertain Rae. Perhaps another wizard, 6th was sure Disneyland has lots of them, and not all of them were terminally cheerful either.

She lifted her head up enough where she could peer over the rail, watching the coast of Disney Land grow closer. *Maybe a half hour til we're there* she thought.

Her thoughts turned to the monkey in the hold. *What in the world are we going to do with him?* 6th thought, puzzled. They couldn't keep him there, and he'd surely escape before too long. She wouldn't be sorry to see him go, but at the same time she realized that he couldn't be kept prisoner forever. He was cartoon, and he would have to stay behind in a cartoon Zone or he would fade to nothingness. Then the gang would have a Toon murder charge on their heads. They'd have to think of a way to get rid of him without it being permanent. Perhaps tie him up in some Disney woods, where he could be found and untied by someone else after they left.

And the kidnapping, what was THAT all about? 6th knew she hadn't kidnapped anyone. She seriously doubted that the gang would kidnap anyone either. The boat gently swayed in the water, and 6th scratched Thor's head absently. He snuffled in him sleep and rolled over onto his back, his little dino legs splayed out in several directions.

6th began to scratch his belly. *And Ragnar, why was he so uptight?* she thought. *Perhaps it was the trip. Perhaps it was the dogs, even...He couldn't be mad at ME!* 6th thought. *I didn't let the dogs out...I didn't sic Pepe on Artic and make him chop down the mast!...I didn't do anything but suggest this trip...what could be making him so forlorn and unhappy?* She missed the cheerful Viking, and began to think of ways to make him smile...

Drum was on the prow again, and he began to wave at someone. 6th stood, shifting the sleeping Thor onto the deck as gently as she could, and walked over to peer over the railing at who Drum was waving at.

A cartoon woman in a canoe rowed by, her black hair glistening in the sun. She waved back at Drum and continued rowing close to shore.

"Pocahantas!" Drum said unnecessarily. 6th nodded, grinning as the longboat pulled up to the dock. "We're here!" She held out her hand to Drum as he stepped down off the prow. She noted his momentarily hesitation, his face a clear picture of what he was thinking as he eyed her outstretched hand. *Will she bite?* As he took her hand, she leaned in to whisper "Not hard." startling him until she began to laugh. He grinned then, and they walked up the deck to where the others were gathering around the gangplank.

Kaybe0 -- As soon as she got off the boat

Kay spotted the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse a short ways down in the trees, bolting for it, she asked to come up and was welcomed with genuine warmness and surprise. Assuring the Robinsons that she and her friends were not pirates, but friends looking for homes for puppies, she was taken on a tour of the treehouse she had loved all her life. Grinning, she leans out over the rail to watch the rest of her friends get off. After talking to the Robinsons for a few more minutes and asking if she and her friends could come back for another look at the wonderful treehouse, she quickly skips back to the dock to join them. She waved to Tarzan and Jane, as they swung to a higher branch to get a closer look at the group. This is going to be so much fun! What possible mischief could they get into in this wonderful place. Well, we are the Scoobie gang, so maybe that question was a bit premature. :)

Raven-Kat -- As long as I have the boat to myself

Rae decided, *I might as well have a little fun.*

With that, Rae vanishes below deck and reappears with a bucket and a scrub-brush. "This boat is filthy. Needs a woman's touch."

Whistling a happy tune, Rae sets to work scrubbing. Then she realizes that she's obviously being affected by her proximity to all things Disney and stops.

"Okay. I wonder if there's any short-cake in the galley." Rae wanders down to the galley. "Nummy. Now what to do?"

Smiling, Rae pulls out her portable CD player and turns on 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice'. Soon, the boat is scrubbing itself.

Mouse2000 -- Mouse wanders around

looking for all those impossibly handsome, perfectly animated men of Disney. The prince who marries Ariel, the Captain in Pocohontas, not to mention Tarzan. But alas, they must be busy elsewhere, because there are none to be found. What a shame. All the shippyness of the last episode has Mouse in a romantic mood, and she needs a hero, darnnit!! (She's holding out for a hero....ooops, sorry, wrong song - not Disney!)

Maybe instead she should look up the people who own the 101 Dalmations (sorry folks, Mouse isn't good enough with the Disney films {yet} to remember all the corect names). If they're willing to take in about 95 dalmations, she's sure they're soft enough to take a few more...

RagnarRB -- Ragnar closed the panel

then took one last look in the mirror in his cabin. Hmmm...not his normal attire but then normal attire was a bit too conspicuous. This journey had drawn his viking personna a bit too much attention. Better to ressurect one of his past covers than risk arrest so early in the game. He had accumulated many appearences and many guises in his travels. This one ought to do, afterall he was in disney.

Placing a weathered fadora upon his slicked back hair he completed his ensomble.

Gone was his Dominion trademark chainmail and horned hat, and in their place was the aformentioned fedora and older pinstripped suit. Not the top of the line but not gutter rags either. Just enough to hint at wealth but not abundantly. Touristy if you must.

He had actually started to go with a more innocent, nieve look, but upon noting the people he intended to see, innocent looking was not going to be the man of the hour. Just the appearence of threatening could come in handy.

Adjusting his tie he exited his cabin and locked the door behind him. He could have sworn he'd awoken at night to the sound of little feet sneaking thru the passages but nothing seemed out of place. Sheeze he had even awoken from an obvious dream of the Sylvester and Tweety Bird toons, with their usually cat and bird banter echoing in his mind upon waking. "I did, I did see a pooty cat!" Sounded all to real.

This trip was turning into quite an adventure. A vacation indeed!...he was even starting to long for a good cigar again!

"Hi Rag!"

He nearly jumped. He had thought he had seen them all shove off...but of course Rae had stayed behind. Slipped his mind. Boy was he getting careless or what!

"Oh hi Rae...making yourself comfortable i see."

And indeed she was, stretched out and engrossed with what looked like a favorite CD.

"Nice look" she commented. Smiling and spreading that magical twinkle thru her eyes.

Ragnar looked selfconsciously down at himself. I guess the others only had see him in his viking ragalia. His attentioned returned to Rae before a minor trainwreck could occur on that road he called thought. He had things to do.

"Sure you don't want to join us?"

She shook her head..."No, I don't think so. Just being this close is bad enough."

An investigator of the humnan mind that doesn't like Disney? He shook his head. Each to their own.

"Well keep an eye on things until I get back then. The mechanic is down in the engine room cleaning out the dog biscuts. He should stay out of the way but you might make sure no one sees him. Disney has plenty of longboats in it so the ship itself shouldn't stick out more than usuall." He thought for a moment. "Probably should have had Artist cast a nowemer over it before he left but..."

He really had meant to do that but the ladies had taken Artist below to recharge again....*I wonder if those power drops and anything to do with this 'recharging'? They did occur about the same time. Did that make Artist a machine that they plugged into the power grid?...thoughts for later. Over a rum and coke perhaps...

"I'm sure it'll be fine..." Rae soothed, trying to hold in her chuckling at his apopearence. Boy was Jila going to be sorry she missed this...camera she thought, where's a camera when I need one...!!?!

Ragnar made his way too the launch. Sometimes rae just had a positively strange look in her eye...

Sixth Sense Dreamer -- 6th stood by the dock

She was one of the first ones down off the boat, but now that she was on land, she didn't know where to head first. She stood watching the gang head off in different directions. Drum stopped by her, looking over the land before them, a puzzled expression on his face.

"Can't figure out where to go either, huh?" 6th said from behind him, enjoying the way he jumped when she spoke.

"Oh 6th!" he grinned, "No, too many choices." 6th nodded in sympathy.

"Well, we could go explore if you..." 6th started, then trailed off as Ragnar came down the gangplank.

6th's eyes practically fell out of her skull. Rag in a gangster suit? Oh heavens above!...

She watched him walk away down the path into the nearby woods. Then she turned slowly back to Drum, a glint in her eyes.

"I just found something for us to do!" she grinned. Drum looked down the path where Ragnar had disappeared. He opened his mouth to speak, and 6th grabbed his hand, pulling him after her down the same path.

"Yeah, but 6th, I just don't feel the same way you do about Ragnar!" he tried. She laughed as they neared the forest.

"Silly! I want to know where he's going looking like that, and I want to catch up to him and apologize...after I think of what to say. You're coming with me."

"But...why?" Drum asked as they entered the forest.

"Two reasons" 6th held up one finger, "One, Disney has some nasty villians and a lot of them live in forests like this. I want someone around to cover my back."

"Cover it with what?" Drum asked, "You know, I'm not the greatest magician..."

"You're fine, and between the two of us, we can handle a little disney villain. SO come on already, or we'll lose him!" They started off again. Drum paused after a minute, 6th turned to look at him atanding on the path.

"Wait. You said there were TWO reasons..." he said as she grinned.

"Honestly Drum, you have to ask? Two: I like you. I want to get to know more about you. And I haven't had much of a chance to torment you yet."

"Tor...torMENT me?" Drum gulped. "Like torture?"

6th tried not to laugh too loud, she wasn't ready for Ragnar to come charging back here demanding why she was following him AGAIN.

"No, no, adorable Drum. Nothing painful. Just some flirting. Like I said, I don't bite...hard." she grinned again, her best Cheshire cat grin and held out her hand to the confused wizard.

"You know," she said quietly as they walked along the path, "You're awfully cute when you're confused..."

"Um..."

"And when you make those confused noises like that...ooo, you just don't know what that does to me!"

"Ah...er...yes...um...well..."

6th giggled and punched Drum playfully on the arm. "Kidding!" she laughed, "Lighten up Drum! I'm not nearly as bad as everyone says, including me!"

They headed off down the path, the light growing darker around them as the trees closed in. They could still hear Ragnar ahead of them, his heavy footsteps easy to track.

Viridian -- Chryse, Jila, and Viridian stood on the

shore by the gangplank and tried to decide what they would visit first. "I think Kaybe went to see the Swiss Family Robinson," Jila offered.

"Hmmm," was all Chryse had to say.

"Well, we're here for the dogs, Right?" Viridian said.

"Right," Chryse answered, "and we already thought of the people from the 101 Dalmatians... what was their name?"

"I'm thinking, I'm thinking," Jila muttered. "Hey, what about the family from the Incredible Journey?"

"Good idea!" Viridian told her. "I know the original film was a Disney one..." She paused when she saw Chryse's blank stare. "Y'know, the one where to two dogs and the cat make that trip that lasts hundreds of miles. Good grief, I remember watching that when I was a kid. Cried like a baby at it, too."

"Ohhhh," Chryse started to say, then switched to "Oooooh." Jila and Viridian turned to follow her stare and saw a film noir vision in a fedora come sauntering down the gangplank. He tipped his hat at them as he passed and walked away. For the first time in a LONG time, all three of the ladies were speechless.

RagnarRB -- Over the Hills, and thru the woods

to the smugglers cave we go...:)

Ragnar wound his way along the path and down into the small grotto below. He paused to listen...yep they were still there.

Whoever it was they were very good at remaining out of direct eyesight but they needed a little help in the silence department. He had almost missed them at first but if you spend enough time outdoors you soon realize some sounds just don't belong.

The motion on the trail behind his silenced and he had yet to see them again. He made an act of being cautious, trying not to give away the fact that he knew they were there. They were good, perhaps too good.

Bounty hunters? Had they found him so soon? A piece of his past? Had they found him after soo long? Did it matter?

No, probably not, not in the long run. What mattered was his not leading them directly to the cove. He had manuevered the longboat close enough to be within reach but not close enough to hamper the diziens he sought. He hadn't exactly left on bad terms so a welcome was still possible. Besides he thought, money talked....and 6th wouldn't miss her money...not for a while. :)

He looked around, choosing his next path for three that lay before him. This was of course disney land and though some sections did pose their risk the smugglers this close to the port had devised an ingenious method of protection. If only it didn't make a certain big viking feel silly!

Already knowing the center path was the one he wanted he stepped to it. When in disney do like disney does. If you didn't ,you wouldn't get passed this point. After all there was actually only one path. You just had to get by the ward that kept you from seeing the right one.

Rising on his tiptoes he placed one finger pointed down upon his fedora and arched his other arm into the proper teacup pose. He began reciting Mary had a little Lamb as he stepped foreward and began to hopscotch his way thru the marked boxs before him.

It was embarassing!

Meanwhile.....back at the motel...er boat....

Kitten's eyes glared, her claws begged to scratch the beam she perched on, and her hackles were raised in err. It was bad enough that the dogs had been placed in the hold so close to her precious Mr. Ducky but this Monkey toon!

The inhumanity of it all. To have something so close to the secret hiding place was irritating to say the least. It even deprived her of the warm fuzzy feeling she got from munching the crunch artickat had brought along. Kitten liked artickat, they had soooo soooo soooooo much in common. And she fed her peanutbutter crunch too!

She hissed at the monkey. The monkey wiggled his tongue back at her. He knew she was there just not why. If she only knew how irritating her presence was to him. He wanted DOGS! not CATS!

Mojo Jojo rolled his eyes and wrung his hands, pacing back and forth..."so close so close, so close i be..interruptions, dogs, must have dogs! Mojo ruler of the world!"

Kitten hissed again, as if to say, beat it.

Mojo wrinkled his brow. It was too much...too much! He grabbed a sack and began to climb the crates...."Here kitty kitty...kitty..."

Kitten leaped, landing on his head and poking little holes in the toons head. Doing a flip, a double summersault, a swan dive and a perfect score landing the small cat cleared the invader and landing on the floor. Good thing the dogs were exercising.

She scurried away...*Mr. Duckie! He was after Mr. Ducky! Her little kitten heart skipped a beat! She continued to hiss and meow for all she was worth...but Mojo didn't follow.

"What's this?" the tooney monkey mused.

MR. DUCKIE kitten wailed to no avail watching the monkey disappear over the crates. She scurried in persuit. Hop, crawl, crawl, hop, leap....to the top.

She was just in time to see the little toon ooze his way thru another door into the hold...the one behind the boxes. Mojo Jojo was free!

ArtistStudio -- One Prince made to order - Mouse wanders

into a ballroom, having no idea where in Disney she is or how she got separated from everyone else. The ballroom is grand and the dancers dressed beautifully - everyone is anatomically perfect - Mouse - though lovely - feels out of place in her shipworn dockpants. She wishes she had brought something nicer than a lab coat.

An anatomically perfect prince glides up to her, bows and kisses her hand. He gazes up into her eyes - and there is something unusual and familiar about the twinkle in his blue-grey eyes. Something familiar and unusual about his kingly appearance. "You are so lovely, my dear, will you consent to dance with me?"

Mouse looks down at herself, about to laugh about her clothes only to find herself in a lovely velvet gown, perfect tiny slippers - she gazes up at the prince who stands, poised, holding her hand delicately - she had never felt so delicate and desireable.

She smiles shyly and dances the night away, growing more and more comfortable with her prince - whirling about the floor, dancing slow and close - still wondering why he seems subtly out of place and familiar. Then she remembers - Disney princes never wear beards!!!

"Artist!" she says, suddenly recognizing her dance partner. Artist bows elegantly, kisses her forehead.

"This is a magnificent castle, my dear. Allow me to be your guide." Mouse puts her hand in his elbow and glides about, exploring the wonders of Neuswanstien with him. Hours later they are gliding down a moonlit river in a swan boat they had found in a cavern under the castle.

Sixth Sense Dreamer -- Ragnar hopped and skipped

along the path...

Mary had a little lamb...(click)

It's fleece was white as snow...(click)

And everywhere that Mary went...(click)

The lamb was sure to go...(click)

6th took the last shot of Ragnar hopping down the path, and leaned back against the large tree next to Drum. They both couldn't help but giggle, but they giggled quietly.

"You didn't use the flash did you?" Drum whispered.

"Of course not!" 6th whispered back. She peered around the tree again, to see Ragnar walking down the middle path.

After he rounded the corner and was out of sight again, 6th and Drum stepped back onto the path and walked up to the split in trails.

"Middle one right?" Drum said, "I'll go first, but no pictures of me doing this!"

6th nodded, her fingers crossed behind her back. Oh what fun she did have with her tiny spy camera!

Drum stepped onto the path, and a sudden wind swirled around him, leaving 6th untouched.

"Hey!" Drum paused, then said over his shoulder to 6th, "There's a ward here...it's different for everyone who crosses this path...you have to do what it says...or you'll get sent somewhere else..." 6th realized that Drum was relaying what he heard in his head to her. He struck an awkward pose, standing on one foot with the other held out behind him, and his arms held at angles over his head.

He began to recite and hop at the same time:

How doth the little crocodile <Hop>

Improve his shining tail<hop>

And pour the waters of the nile<hop>

on every golden scale<hop>

How cheerfully he seems to grin<hop>

and neatly spreads his claws<hop>

and welcomes little fishes in<hop>

with gently smiling jaws<hop>

6th was so impressed with Drum's sense of balance that she forgot to take any pictures of him hopping. He landed on the other side of the path, and turned around to 6th.

"Ta-da!" he said, smiling brightly, and 6th applauded.

"My turn, I guess..." 6th said, and stepped into the path.

***Just lovely! You're a new one!***several voices whispered in her head. ***these are the rules...you must do what we say and step only on the marked grid in the spots we say...we wish you to recite...a poem...while standing on your hands...***giggles flowed through 6th's mind as she cried out "On my HANDS???"

***oh yes, your hands...and it must be a good poem too...now, stay only on the blue squares in the grid***

"Why do these things always happen to me?" 6th muttered, and then bent over and kicked her legs up in the air. Steadying herself, she began to slowly walk forward placing her hands in the blue squares, which were convieniently close together.

as she walked forward she said:

The want of you is like no other thing
It smites my soul with sudden sickening.
It binds my being with a wreath of rue-
this want of you

It flashes on me with the waking sun
It creeps upon me when the day is done
It hammers at my heart the long night through-
this want of you...

There was more to the poem, but 6th had reached Drum, so she did a neat back flip and landed beside her slack-jawed friend.

"Neat, huh?" she grinned. Drum could only nod.

***Oh soooo pretty...most people give us silly poems. that almost made us cry***the voices whispered in her head and 6th could indeed hear sniffling. She smiled and turned to Drum.

"Come on, let's go...Ragnar's probably way ahead of us now. We need to hurry and catch up with him!" and the two trotted down the path, peering around trees ahead of them, and trying to stay as inconspicious as possible. Of course, 6th wasn't the kind to dress inconspiciously, and she worried that her red polyurethane leather vest and flared pants would be a beacon to the Viking stud...and she still hadn't thought of anything to say to apologize!

Drumheller -- Sneaking down the path...

"Nice poem," Drumheller whispered to 6th, as they continued
to follow Ragnar. "I'd love to hear the rest of it."

"Later." She replied with a wink.

"You don't think Rag will get mad, do you?" Drum said
stoping in the middle of the pathway. "I've seen him mad,
and I want no part of it!"

"Of course not. Now come on, hurry!" 6th grabbed Drum's
hand and began to drag him again.

"OK, ok..."

Meanwhile.........

Ragnar continued on, acting cautious, but making sure not
to completly lose his followers.

*Just a little further* He thought to himself. *Around the
next bend, that will be the perfect place for the ambush*

Ragnar stopped to listen, sure enough, they were still
behind him.
