Eco-Challenge FS: let the race begin!!!

Okay, the first two replies here are reposts (Official rules & Team roster). The third reply will be the opening of the first leg of the race. Have fun!!!
And remember, it's not if you win or loose, it's how good you look doing it!!!
Official Rules
* Participants will compete in teams. Teams will be assigned to participants signing up as individuals, unless they form their own teams
* Each team will be comprised of 3 to 4 members
* Teams which lose either 1 (3-person teams) or 2 (four person teams) players will be removed from the course unless they can immediately find another similarly short team to merge with
* No such 'merged team' may have more than four members.
* Each team must have an official designation (name). Newly merged teams must be renamed.
* There are to be no fires on the courses except in aproved way-points (this includes, but is not limited to: torches, campfires, scorched-earth warfare, etc...)
* Mandatory dark-zones are in effect for certain jungle and river tracks. For safety reasons, there is to be no travelling in these zones after dusk.
* No weapons on the race course, and most particularly, no use of martial force against other teams (no matter how much better they're doing than you, Crais!)
* No mechanized forms of conveyance.
* No animals are to be used for transport or pack purposes.
* Participants are to bring thier food with them. They must not take anything from the course except water.
(* Water purification tablets available in the mansion commissary)
* Leave nothing but footprints
* Race continues until all teams have crossed the finish line.
* The first (in-tact) team to cross the finish line wins.
