| This is really pretty
simple as far as using a plain deck of playing cards
goes. First and foremost you want to use a brand new
unused deck with an abstract design on the front. Cards
with images of trees or kittens etc, won't do. They'll
influence your interpretation of the reading and
therefore are unusable. You are using the numbers and
face cards to interpret the reading NOT the images on the
cards and so the images on the back of the cards may do
their own subliminal influencing so stick with a deck of
poker cards and make sure to mark the box you keep them
in so no one will mistake them for playing cards. You'll also need to make a chart of your own
interpretation of each card in the deck (remember to
discard the JoKeRs *winks*). Until you can take the time
out to really sit down and figure out what each card
means to you, you can use one I made specifically for
other internet users. It is rather superficial and NOT
the same interpretations I use for my own personal
readings but it is more universal and mainstream and

| A few layouts to try...

This (Fig. 1) is your basic past-present-future lay-out which consists of three cards placed faced down and turned up one by one starting with the first card laid. |
| This (Fig. 2) isn't
exactly a lay-out. It's just a simple yes or no reading.
For example: Q: "Am I going to have a good day
today?" A: Queen of Hearts This means yes. Red cards are yes, black cards are no. Pretty simple. |

This lay-out (Fig. 3) is a less complicated complex reading *winks* Basically you have to derive from the interpretations a description of the querents situations in each category, for instance a Queen of Hearts in the position of Career would mean,that a woman with dark hair and light eyes and/or a fair complexion will be an influence in your career. In other words keep an eye on women matching this description in the workplace. |
