May 14-18 2001
May Week, established by our First National President (Dr. Sadie T.M. Alexander) in 1920, is a week long program designed to highlight the importance of community service, academic and professional achievement. In keeping with Soror Alexander's vision, we at the Mu Phi Chapter hold workshops and activities to educate our campuses and local community as a whole.

May Week 2001 Agenda:
Monday: Economic Development
"Investing in Your Future"
Learn investment techniques, the importance of IRA accounts, mutual funds, and diversification of a stock portofolio.
Kettering University, Campus Center Rm 5301 (5th floor) 12 Noon... Food provided!

Tuesday: Physical & Mental Health
"Women's Health Discussion"
Take a part in a discussion that will shed light on some common health issues affecting women such as cancer, fibroids, osteoporosis, heart disease, etc.
U of M Flint University Center, Cultural Lounge (2nd Floor) 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Wednesday: Educational Development
"MBA vs MS: Which one is for You?"
Workshop focused on the pros and cons of obtaining an MBA vs and MS degree.
Kettering University, Campus Center Rm S (4th Floor) 12 Noon... Food provided!

Thursday: Political Awareness & Involvement
"Political Issues of the Present & the Past"
Be a part of a discussion on recent developments in the political arena as well as past issues, such as Clinton administration, the last presidential election, school vouchers, capital punishment, quality of education, school shootings, gun control, etc.
U of M Flint, University Center Rm #369 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Friday: International Awareness & Involvement
"International Jeopardy"
Participate in an event held with the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and KU's International Club in a game of "International Jeopardy". Prizes go to top team of each game, with games being 15 minutes or less in length.
Kettering University, Campus Center Gold Rm (4th Floor) 12 Noon... Pizza Sale!

**25th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION WEEKEND BEGINS...**
The Delta Connection: Celebrating 25 Years of Mu Phi History
        -Mixer, 6p-8p in Kettering University's BJs Lounge... Food, Folks, & Fun
        -Karaoke Competition and Party!!! (with special performance while judges decide winner for Karaoke)!...
          From 9p-1a in Kettering University's  International Room
          COST:  $5 Entry Fee
Saturday:
Sisterhood Bonding, 7:30a-12Noon
        -Sorors getting know Sorors only!
        -Community service project: putting together gift baskets to donate to needy families
Spring Picnic, 1p-4p
        -Delta olympics
        -Food, folks, and fun!
Anniversary Formal/Scholarship Ball, 9pm-1am in University of Michigan-Flint's Michigan Room
                    -Dinner, dancing, speaker,awards, etc.
Sunday:
Rededication,  8:30a-10:30a
Sorors Only Church, 11:00a-2:00p at the Metropolitan Baptist Church
