THE GULF INSTITUTE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES, SULTANATE OF OMAN.  I was involved in setting up the institute from the beginning. Today, the institute  has more than 50 PCs and training is conducted on various IT programmes to the public sector, private sector companies and for individual students. I was mainly responsible for designing, delivering and marketing the courses. I was also responsible for getting the courses approved from the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Vocational Training. NVQ Consultancy and Training

THE GULF INSTITUTE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES, SULTANATE OF OMAN.  I was involved in setting up the Computer Department of the Institute from scratch. Today, the Institute is one of the leading vocational and professional course training provider in the Arabian Gulf. I was Also, involved in various training programmes in IT and related fields. I was commended by the Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Vocational Training for my outstanding quality of work. Implemented NVQ training programmes. Also, developed the centre portfolio/quality manual for the Institute. Trained the staff on Training and Development Lead Body (TDLB) awards. Helped the Institution to get affiliations from various internationally recognised academic, professional and vocational bodies. Helped the Institute to design their brochure and in the marketing of training programmes. 

THE EUROPEAN TRAINING INSTITUTE, SULTANATE OF OMAN.  Involved in implementing NVQ training programmes. Also, developed the centre portfolio/quality manual for the Institute.

OMAN AVIATION SERVICES, SULTANATE OF OMAN.  Trained, assessed and internally verified candidates working as Cabin Crew members for the national carrier - OMAN AIR in Customer Services Level 2 NVQs.  Also, trained staff members for TDLB certification.

QURUM AMUSEMENT PARK (FUN WORLD), SULTANATE OF OMAN.  Trained, assessed and internally verified candidates working in the amusement park in Customer Services, Administration and Information Technology Level 2 NVQs.  Also, trained staff members for TDLB certification.

Web Design, Development and e-Business Solutions

KAIL AND COMPANY LIMITED, UK.  Involved in designing their corporate website, set up the email and internet and managed their windows NT network. Also, involved in implementing an Information System Strategy for the company.  

 

MAJAN INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL AGENCIES, SULTANATE OF OMAN.  Involved in installing and maintaining various software, setting up email and internet for the company and maintaining and troubleshooting PCs. 

AL BASHASHA RESTAURANT, SULTANATE OMAN. Involved in setting up the email and internet, installing and maintaining various software, management of the Novell network.

QURUM AMUSEMENT PARK, SULTANATE OF OMAN.  Involved in setting up their IT department, hardware and software evaluation, procurement of hardware and software, installing and maintaining hardware and software, setting up email and the internet, helpdesk and user support. 

Software Development

AL AMAL MEDICAL AND HEALTH CARE CENTRE, SULTANATE OF OMAN. Designed and developed a multi user Clinic Management System on Novell using Clipper/FoxPro as part of a team.

Dr. RAMAN's CARDIOLOGY CLINIC, SULTANATE OF OMAN. Designed and developed a patient management system for appointments, patient history, payments and invoicing, month end reports using MS-Access etc. 

ALLIED CORPORATION, SULTANATE OF OMAN. Developed an Investment Tracking system and a Payroll and Personnel System using MS-Access. 

THE GULF INSTITUTE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES, SULTANATE OF OMAN. Developed a NVQ Tracking System using MS-Access, Developed a Fixed Asset Register using Visual Basic  and MS-Access, Developed a Payroll and Personnel System using FoxPro v2.6 for Windows and developed a student information system using MS-Access.  

BAIT AL AHLAM, SULTANATE OF OMAN. Developed an integrated system, incorporating Stock Control, Invoicing and Billing and Order Processing using dBASE/FoxPro.

REGIONAL MANAGEMENT CENTRE, STATE OF BAHRAIN.  Developed a Work Allocation System for the Academic staff using Pascal.

CHILD MANAGEMENT CENTRE,  STATE OF BAHRAIN. Developed a student management system using dBASE IV. 

ALUMNI CLUB, STATE OF BAHRAIN. Developed a Membership Management System using dBASE IV/FoxPro as part of a team. Also, customised the DAC-Easy Accounting package for them.

WANNI's  HOMEOPATHIC CLINIC, SRI-LANKA.  Developed a patient tracking system using dBASE. 

GLOBAL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY LIMITED, SRI-LANKA.  Developed  an Order Processing system using COBOL on IBM S/36.

LAKESIDE MEDICAL CENTRE, SRI-LANKA.  Maintained and existing accounting system written in clipper/FoxPro.
