Music for a Queer Planet

Gender Bending Beats
"Free Yourself to Become Yourself" is not only the name of New York based cult troupe I.M.T.'s theme song, but it is also their mantra for life in general. "no boredom here", says Jaime Montalvo, Jr. of Miss Girl Records, the groups' record label. "It's all about fun, diversity and the celebration of self accepptance, via trippy dance beats and sounds."
I.M.T. made a name for themselves in the New York underground club scene via their cult classic. "The Devil Made Me Buy This CD (Miss Girl Records) includes two solid remixes of that crowd pleaser, as well as several remixes of their more recent deep diva-house hit "I Don't Want To Be Alone". There's ten upbeat tracks in all, including an aggressively pounding update of "Money (That's What I Want)", as well as the aforementioned I.M.T. theme song, "Free Yourself 2 Become Yourself."
... it's an enjoyable ride for those with a wicked sense of humor and an undying urge to boogie. I can envision this playing in the hippest of hip joints in Manhattan's seedy underbelly, so if that sounds like your scene, you might want to check them out.

I.M.T.'s "I Don't Want to Be Alone"
"Hot New York underground hit that's starting to spread via the DJ hot line bounces along the happy house highway with infectious instrumentations, lots of catchy chord changes and a kick at the chorus borrowed from Eartha Kitt's "Where is my Man". It's a word-of-mouth monster that's all set to explode! 4 stars!" - JONNY (LAUDERDALE) DANZA, UNDERGROUND NEWS
