, my name is Melva. I am a bit of a shy person, far from a talker and more of a listener instead. This is my first attempt with something of this nature, and with a little bit of luck, and a lot of help, it should work out fine. I find it so incredibly fascinating at what creativity can be added to the internet. Loosing myself to the beautiful urls for hours on end is almost like an addiction. (better than candy- no calories!) Perhaps one day I can master the ways of making a creative one too. For without my friend, this one would not have been possible. (thank you very much Al !) Not only do I tend to look at many urls, but I also chat with friends who I have met online. Some of these friends, I have gotten to know and care about very much over the course of time, they have a special place in my heart. Mainly they are from parts of Australia, various parts of the United States, and a few other places. ( I wouldnt want to forget anyone. ) I enjoy meeting people from all over, learning a little about them, and their way of life. I cant travel all over the world, much as I would love to, so it is therefore like seeing their part of the world through their eyes. As I reside in a country setting, it is not unusual for a bit of wildlife to come close to the house for an unannounced visit. A little too close for comfort when you see a bear near by or cougar tracks in front of the doorway in the snow. Unfortunately spring brings the skunks around as well. I wish I could stop the dogs from trying to "play" with those cute black and white creatures. (phew get the tomato juice out quick!) I love going for walks or taking the ATV into the woods for hours and truly enjoy seeing the wild life with nature where it belongs. I am a person who is completely open and honest with what I say to anyone online. I am "myself" . and never project to be anyone other than who I am. What I say to you online, I would feel comfortable saying to your face. Unfortunately, there are some who find pleasure in playing with people's emotion ........ who lift them up just to eventually bring them down .. for this I can not understand. My heart goes out to those whose emotions have been used in this way . both men and women. Nothing in this world gives me the right to judge people for "who" am I to judge? Most people would find that I am a "deep thinker" after they get to know me, as I look at things in different views. Two things put a sparkle in my eye, and those are my two kids (cant call them "children" any more they are bigger than I am). I must say, sometimes that sparkle is because of tears, as in when I looked at my daughters graduation picture, grade 12, for the very first time (must be a mothers "thing"!). A feeling of mixed emotions .. some of which are very complex and sad, combined with a realization of her growing into a young lady with accomplishments behind her. Now for about 5 more years of school ahead of her!!!! "sigh" The oldest of the two is my son Jeremy, who has a deep passion for dirt bike racing. When you look at his picture, maybe you will understand why I dont go and watch him when he is "doing his thing"! The very first race he was in, he broke his collar bone. "ouch!" Although he has only been in 5 races, he has won three awards already. He is also rebuilding his 1970 Camaro from the frame up, and hopes to one day put it into car shows. . You would think that this is a safer hobby, but what happens when its all finished and it needs a "governor"? (wouldnt he be surprised?) |
