Free E-mail Address - Get a free online e-mail account

For all these internet e-mail accounts you see listed below, you can only read and send e-mail through an allocated e-mail address by logging into your account by being connected to the internet. This means, for example that if you were to use hotmail for an e-mail adress, your address would be: [email protected], and to be able to read and receive e-mail from your account, you would have to connect to the internet and go to the e-mail servers web page, and then login to your account. From this account you would be able to read and send mail.

The advantages of all e-mail providers listed here is that you can send and receive your e-mail account from any computer in any country, still being able to send and receive text, pictures and files. This means that if you change your computer, location, ISP, you can still access your e-mail via your e-mail servers web page. Enough said, here they all are:

DeseretMail: very quick to start a new account. can do file attatchments, and include signitures (messages which are automatically sent with your actual message). If you are away from your computer on holiday etc, then an away message can be sent to the e-mail address of anybody who sends a message whilst away. Can also set auto responses.

Mailcity: Part of the Lycos network, pretty basic

Worldmailer: very simple, adresses etc, no POP etc can make signitures

Mailexcite: nothing fancy, just the basic stuff. No POP3. This is a very well known e-mail provider, so chances are you would have to combine other letters/digits with your desired e-mail address, e.g. if you wanted [email protected], it would have to be something like [email protected], this gives way to advantages of...:

Madmail: This is quite new to the world of e-mail providers, so you might be able to get a simple e-mail address, like [email protected].This is a simple e-mail provider, you can write send and receive e-mails with file attachments, but nothing fancy.

Hotmail: Undoubtedly one of the most famous e-mail providers in the world; you can set it up for different languages; English, Chinese, French etc. You can check multiple POP accounts (basically different e-mail accounts). There's a signiture option, and an address book, and also a facility which allows you to send file attachments. With over 30 million users, the chances of you finding an e-mail address @hotmail.com that you want are very unlikely and you will have to put a few letters/digits on your e-mail address.

There are off course hundreds more free e-mail providers, some of the links to them are below:
