CENTERING
IMAGES UNDER MASKS
Constructed by GiNa4XoXoXo
Well, well.... for the past six months
I've always thought that once i applied my mask and my image wasn't directly in
the center that I was out of luck! well, that's not true!!!!!! i just figured
out a way to fix an image when it is not centered inside of the mask image!!!!
sheeshh.... I've been adding borders and resizing for the longest trying to get
my images centered!!!! what a dummy i was!
this is assuming you know how to use masks!!!
1. have your image open and apply your mask ( go to masks>load from
disk>select a mask
2. invert it if you have to so that your image shows through.
3. NOW, IF YOUR IMAGE IS OFF CENTER LIKE MINE ALWAYS ARE, THERE IS A WAY TO FIX
IT!!!!!! your mask will now be its own layer on your layers palette. go up to
your layer box and if you look on your current layer or background, you will see
the mask face. you will also see an icon to the right of it as shown below
If you click on the one like I did
where you see the red "x" this will allow you to keep your mask in
place and only move the image underneath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! try it!!! you'll be
amazed!
To lock them back together, just simply go back and take this x off when you are
finished centering it!!!
enjoy!!
