.

Well hi there all!

I have been trying to make a background on my own, hm m feels like ages, here.

Suddenly, I figured it out and I will teach you how to make your own if you wish to learn.

If you're not ready for this...well, wait until you are.....there's no rush!

.

Here goes....

1. I started with a pattern. It's what you see on the left hand side...here it is..

2. I made sure that the height of my pattern did not exceed the height of my New canvas or window.

3. I wrote down 1024 for width and 90 for height.

4. I selected a light color for the background and used the bucket to do the fill.

5. I pasted the pattern on to the colored background.

6. I clicked on the "zoom in" 2 times to work with the background.

7. I selected the rectangle and clicked on the shift key while making a rectangle to get a shadow effect.

8.I clicked on the bucket to fill and went to control palette...

Fill style>>>>Linear Gradient Match Mode>>>>RGB value Tolerance 8.....Opacity 100

Options>>>>Fill style>>>> Linear Gradient Blend Mode>>>>Color

Directions>>>>90 Degrees

9. I used the bucket to fill my rectangle which still had the marching ants.

10. I stopped the marching ants by a doing a right click of the mouse.

Voil! you are done!

.

Try your masterpiece in your email to see if it will tile properly!

Bonne Chance!

Good Luck!

The more experienced folks can correct me if I forgot a step!

I'm witing all this by memory.

Have fun!
