Energy is an early Japanese HuCard. It seems to revolve
around a post apocalyptic future of some sort, with the main character
having come type of psi powers.
From what I have seen of the game, you must travel through - 'flick
scrolling' - screens searching for hidden people and messages, defeating
mutants and 'level' bosses on the way, gaining ever increasing mental powers.
The graphics are really poor, like a NES or Famicom game, and the flick
scrolling reminds me of my days with my hunble 48k spectrum (not my beefy
128k though ;)
Sound fares little better, with bleeps and bloops and tinny effects
accompanying you.
It's a pity that I cannot understand a word of Japanese, because it
looks like it could have been an alright game - as it is I just jump around
all over the place and shoot stuff!! - the adventure aspect could be fine
as far as I know.
One thing I have found, or to be more precise - haven't, is the lack
of a dumped ROM image on the 'net. With all my other HuCard based games,
I have downloaded a ROM so that I can get screengrabs (hence the lack of
them here). I don't have ROMs that I don't own the original for though,
that's illegal, and I would rather buy the original. I f anyone has a dump
of this game, I would appreciate you sending me a copy. Thanks.
